Description of website pages

The background of the website should be the similar for every page, with exception of floating moving bubbles for a landing page covering middle section of the page. Colors should be light blues and white and logo will incorporate the floating bubbles theme.

For the other pages floating bubbles should be presented only in the header of the pages, therefore not distracting user too much. Possible solution for floating bubbles looks like this:

Figure 2. Sample of background for a landing page

Bubbles presented should float in an upward vertical motion from the footer to the header, once the bubbles reach the header they will disappear outside of the page.

Most important web pages are described below, within related chapter as well as some other common functionalities such as subscribe and search:

· The users are offered possibility to subscribe and enter their Name/Nickname and Email so they are enabled to receive informational email sent by administrator.

· The search box should also be found on each page, located at the header of the site. People visiting the site should be able to search for a keyword and be able to find the content easily within the website, regardless which page they are currently on.

Home Page

This is the main page of the website, it will have a header with the following information and links:

· Logo with Website name (GiveHopeToOthers)

· HOME

· ABOUT ME

· CONTACT ME

· BLOG

· Search text box

On the right side of the page an area where the most recent stories from each Success Stories categories will be shown.

The middle area of the page is presenting the floating bubbles in the background, together with the tag line of the page’s iconic links redirecting to the Success Stories of the website.

Above the footer of the page an area with the links to each related website Stories section will exist and when selected the dialog will be expanded with the description and the buttons for adding or reading related section Stories.

The Footer, which is the same for all the pages in the website, will have the links to Privacy Terms, Directory and copyright information together with the year of website production.

Commenting frame

Commenting dialog should be developed using Facebook plug in. It implements the checkbox “Post to Facebook” and this functionality enables user also to post the comments to their Facebook page. Plugin looks like following:

Figure 3. Commenting frame

This plugin also enables users without Facebook account to post comments at the website which makes it a good choice for commenting purpose. Therefore, WordPress commenting functionality will be disabled.

Stories pages

Stories page should enable users to add stories indefinitely. The page will show last 20 stories with the link “load more” at the end of the page, which will load the next 20 Stories inside the same page if clicked. User is enabled to press this link repetitively as long as there are other stories to be loaded. If all stories are loaded and there are no other Stories existing the “Load more” link will be disabled.

On the left side of the page, aligned vertically, the links for the different Success Stories categories will be presented:

· Infertility,

· Health & Wellness,

· Relationship

· Financial

· Life Achievement

These links will open each related lists of stories sorted by time in descending order, from the newest to oldest story.

At the bottom of the footer, at the left page’s segment there should be a link for users to subscribe to the website. Subscription is optional to users as both non-registered and registered users are able to make a contribution to the website. On the right side of the footer links to major social media pages of the website are presented, considering such pages will exist. In figure 4 the logos of the used social media will be presented (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn are shown) and when clicked, the user will be redirected to the website’s corresponding social media page.

Figure 4. Commenting frame

Users’ contribution to the website is possible by participating in the following activities:

· Adding new story

· Commenting stories

· Commenting blogs.

As additional benefit, subscribed users have the ability to receive occasional email from the website’s administrator and to be notified about additional any information provided by the administrator.

The website administrator therefore needs to be able to get a report or a list of the subscribed users’ names and emails in order to send bulk notifications. The functionality of generating such report is restricted only to the administrator.

In the future, an optional functionality for regular newsletter emailing will be implemented, which will enable newsletters to be sent to the subscribed users. At this state of project, it is not a mandatory requirement.

Blog page

The Blog page will enable the administrator to add blog entries indefinitely. The page will show the last 20 blog entries with a link “load more” at the end of the page, which when clicked will load the next 20 blog entries within the same page. Users are enabled to press this link as long as there are other blog entries to be loaded. If all blogs are loaded and there are no other blogs existing the link “Load more” will be disabled.
