Introduction

The company was formed in 1992 when three friends Dmitry Kan, Sergey Shvalov and Pak Ying decided to open own matter in the sphere of information technologies.

Originally the company was engaged in repair and service of radio-electronic and computer facilities. In 1992 on an attic of Almaty power institute founder students of the company the first computer was to order built. Same year the LogyCom trademark was officially registered. The act of the state registration of the company is issued on April 1, 1992.

In 1994 OEM the agreement with Intel corporation was signed, the Kazakhstan IT company began production under a brand of large American corporation.

Opening of the first show room and the service center took place in 1995. In 1998 in Almaty the first five shops LogyCom were open. In 2000 the representative office in the capital of Kazakhstan ? the city of Astana opened.

In 2002 "Logician" received the certificate of conformity to the international ISO 9001:2000 standard.

In 2003 the company received the certificate on the state registration of object of intellectual property for the LogyCom Astrum enterprise management system.

In 2006 "Logician" entered in members of the Kazakhstan Association of the IT companies.

On September 4, 2007 primary placement of bonds at the Kazakhstan stock exchange is made. They were included in the official KASE list on category "A". Securities are placed in full for the sum of 1,9 billion tenges. On the money received from placement of bonds in 2008 the equipment of the Korean production was bought and construction of new plant on assembly of personal computers with a planned power of 500 thousand a year is begun.

In 2010 complex restyling of retail shops is made, full repayment of a bonded loan of JSC Logikom for the sum of 1,9 billion tenges took place.

In January, 2013 the company opened new shop of a business format in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan ? the city of Astana.

Industry Analysis

The company "Logician" successfully works at the market of information technologies of Kazakhstan more than 16 years. The company deserved reputation of the competent business partner thanks to reliability of the offered equipment and high level of IT services. Business of the company by "Logician" is based on serious responsibility before clients, colleagues.

Today activity of the company covers all perspective directions of modern IT business: hi-tech production, software solutions, system integration, consulting and support.

The company reached the high level of information transparency, showed the steady growth of financial performance, possesses long-term strategy of development, the level of corporate management conforms to the international standards.

In recent years the share of the company in the domestic IT market makes more than 15%.

In 2006 54 thousand units of the computer equipment were realized. In 2007 this figure increased to 73,2 thousand.

Annually production of LogyCom? successfully undergoes planned procedure of inspection control of Quality management system on compliance to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

One of essential advantages of the company "Logician" is presence in each large city of RK. The distribution network and a network of the service centers covers 16 regions.

Since 2001, seven years in a row, LogyCom? computers receive the award "Choice of Year" in the nomination "The Personal Computer No. 1 in Kazakhstan". The hi-tech equipment reliably works with the LogyCom? trademark in banks, the insurance and trading companies, scientific and educational institutions, military units, judicial and governmental bodies of RK.

The company the Logician proposes a complex of solutions for the enterprises in categories from small and medium business to large and state. The main objectives - creation of IT solutions of any complexity and scale, from delivery of workplaces to office of small enterprise to the complex decision of information system of establishment of the state level, the fullest satisfaction of needs of the customer, establishment of the reliable and long relations with clients based on trust and mutually beneficial cooperation.

To services of clients flexible working conditions ? an individual approach, the optimum prices, the shortest time, a long guarantee, worthy level of service, the attentive attitude of each employee of the company towards the client are provided. The complex of the offered services covers all steps from design and drawing up specifications, delivery of equipment and ON, installations of the equipment to guarantee and post-guarantee maintenance. For creation of IT solutions the big range of the equipment, a wide line of the computer equipment, capacities, unique for Kazakhstan, is at the disposal of the company.

Assessment of the Key Personal of the Company

In an assessment of the key personnel of the JSC Logikom company the modern methods which are organically included in own developed unique control system of the company - Corporate information system of the automated account and management of LogyCom? ASTRUM? are used.

The card of competence (professional portrait, portrait of the ideal employee) is developed for each vacant post or at certification of the employee. The HR manager and the head of the relevant department participates in this process. A portrait of the ideal employee, but not the qualification card, considerably facilitates process of selection of candidates for a key position for the specialist in the personnel. When developing the card it is possible all requirements to applicants unite in three groups: professionalism (education, experience, professional skills), social competence (relationship status, ability to work in team, system of values), compliance to requirements of corporate culture (assumes existence at the potential employee of those specific qualities which are necessary for effective activity of concrete division). In comparison with other requirements professionalism is regarded as of paramount importance as it is considered that if the person the professional, his personal shortcomings influence efficiency of work and the relations with collective less. The professional portrait needs to be created on a basis not only full information on a position, on the fundamental and additional obligations, but also people with whom the expert will interact. Knowledge of the last Kazakhstan accounting, tax, currency, banking, foreign trade law, possession of accounting of computer systems (1C, SAP). Creative approach to questions of the taxation and knowledge of contradictions in positions of the Ministry of Finance and tax administration for optimization of the taxation of the enterprise. Ability to argue the point of view on these questions in bodies tax, etc. Experience as the chief accountant not less than 5 years, existence of recommendations from two last places of work is obligatory. Rare change of places of work and on strong reasons. Ability to see features of development of business in Kazakhstan and creatively to solve the arising problems in the field of sale, a turn, etc., to be focused on result. Ability to take the responsibility in the solution of the questions connected with primary activity. Ability to direct. Accuracy, sense of duty, obligation, honesty, openness of character. For positions which aren't key, in the company the qualification card is developed. Its filling is occupied by less time, than work with the card of competence, and will allow to simplify a set of such ordinary shots.

Tests not only for professional readiness, but also for ability to work with people, on ability to decision-making, etc. are applied to an assessment of candidates for key positions or determination of level of the available employee in the company.

8) Porter?s Five Forces

On M. Porters of the company five forces influence, thus, the above their pressure, the it is less at the existing companies of opportunity to increase the prices and profit. Weakening of forces creates favorable opportunities for the company. The company, having changed the strategy, can influence these forces in own favor (Figure 6).

Risk of an entrance of potential competitors. Creates danger of profitability of the company, toughens the competition, threatens with capture of part of resources of branch. On the other hand, if this risk is small, the company can raise the price and increase the income. The competitive force of this factor strongly depends on height of barriers of an entrance.

The probability of appearance of new competitors in the considered market in the conditions of crisis is small as entrance barriers are very high, and one of barriers ? a high capital intensity. Moreover, considerable time expenditure on writing of programs and obtaining licenses will be required.

2. The second competitive force according to Porter is rivalry of the companies existing in branch. Here it is necessary to define influence of three factors:

- structure of the branch competition; - demand conditions; - height of barriers of an exit in branch.

Increase in demand in branch conducts to the moderate competition when providing great opportunities for expansion. Demand grows together with the market, the companies can increase the speed of return of investments that does the company more attractive. On the contrary, decrease in growth causes the big competition, the companies can select sales markets only at other companies. Thus, demand reduction - the main danger of increase in the competition.

Between separate factors of the competition there is a certain interrelation. The competition forces operating on firm in branch evolve during life cycle of branch. Rapid growth of branch weakens competitive forces. At this stage there are favorable opportunities for expansion and occupation of market spheres.

At the moment the JSC Logicom company takes an indisputable leader place in all three markets (retail-18.2%, corporate-20.2, dealer-21.5) Kazakhstan.

3. The third Porter?s force is the market power of buyers. It poses threat of pressure upon the prices because of needs for the best quality or service. Weak buyers, on the contrary, allow increase in prices and increase of profit. According to Porter, the market power of buyers is defined: 1) choice as lever; 2) sensitivity to the price. In the considered branch the first factor has high influence, the second ? an average. At the moment major customers of the Company are natural persons, the enterprises of small and medium business of Kazakhstan.

4. As the fourth competitive force the market power of suppliers acts. It consists in their threat to raise the prices, compelling the companies to reduce quantity of the delivered production, and, therefore, and profit. Alternatively - weak suppliers give the chance to reduce the prices of their production and to demand more quality. For the Company this threat is minimum since the choice among suppliers is wide.
