It is not just a deodorant and therefore cannot be sprayed directly on the carpets, to cover bad smells. This product can damage carpet fibers.

Is pleasantly scented and produces a rich lather to remove stubborn dirt and grime. gentle cleaning action will not irritate skin. Only available in ready-to-use form.

Due to safety reason the following chemicals cannot be found in your lockers. It is foreseen a collection and a storage in a precise place. Your Supervisor will inform you on this matter.
Brass cleaner
Foam to be used as brass cleaner.
Metal detergent
To be used on metal
Jif (Cif) Abrasive cream.
To be only used for non- scratchable materials
(to be used only per Housekeeping Manager instructions).
Thinner
To be used only in order to remove paints, lacquer, etc.

Only for sticky residues.

LOCKERS
You will have a locker at your disposal, sometimes on your own, sometimes to be shared with others. While you share your locker with others, the following needs to be adhered to:
· cleaning schedule
· respecting, the stock of others
· USPH (United States Public Health) principles
· Respecting the stock of linen, provided by the Housekeeping Manager
· Respecting the proper storage of material and chemicals (Waste Management Program)
The locker normally contains
· par stock of linen and towels
· extra pillows, blankets, double bedcovers, mattress protectors
· amenities for one cruise
· cleaning material
USPH principles are always valid in the locker, in other words, there CANNOT BE FOODS, DRINKS OR UTENSILS KEPT IN THE LOCKER
ALSO LOST AND FOUND ARTICLES, LIFEJACKETS AND PRIVATE BELONGINGS ARE NOT TO BE STORED IN LOCKERS
TROLLEYS
As you will have 20 cabins to clean and maintain each day, you will be equipped with a trolley, which will hold the material that you need in order to accomplish your job and move around comfortably along the corridors and also not waste valuable time. The trolley will hold the following
· clean linen and towels
· amenities
· ice container
· cleaning material
· garbage, separated as per Company instructions The trolley must be positioned anywhere along the corridor but must be placed
- next to the cabin where you are working
- away from electrical cupboards, fire doors and handrails
As there are still different models of trolleys on the ships, a complete standardization of how to set up the trolley has not been done, however, the following guidelines should be adhered to
Lower shelf : bath towels and bath mat
Middle shelf: hand towels and pillow cases
Top self: ice box and face clothes
The trolley must look at all times tidy as this is the first impression the guests get of you and the Housekeeping Department, before stepping in the cabin.
The dirty linen will be collected in linen carts. The dirty linen must be brought to the linen room (by the linen valets) twice a day according to the schedule established by the Housekeeping Manager.
The dirty linen must be counted and separated by sort.
The damaged linen must be already separated from the other ones.
When the linen is very dirty it must be separated and checked by the Housekeeping Manager.
