GOAL AND TASKS DISCIPLINE

 

Objective: To prepare generalists in the field of tourism, able to work in any of the sectors of tourism and excursion services.

 

OBJECTIVES:

a) to introduce students to scientific and practical bases territory organization one of the most important and complex sectors of national economy - the sphere of tourism;



b) to introduce students to the modern theory of tourism as spatial and socio-economic phenomenon; c) to introduce students to the concepts of "recreation" and "tourism industry" and the principles of the organization of their work in different natural and socio-economic conditions;

g) to consolidate the students' in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of Geography of tourism, which are essential to the future experts for successful operation of the production and possible teaching.

Students should:

HAVE AN IDEA AND KNOW

- Scientific and practical bases of the territorial organization of tourism;

- The modern theory of tourism as spatial and socio-economic phenomenon;

- Trends in the global tourism industry, its transnational nature;

- Terms of the tourism industry, its characteristics

AND ABLE

- Apply the theoretical and methodological knowledge in the field of tourism in practice;

- To carry out a comprehensive analysis of the situation of the tourist market;

- Use of the existing regulatory framework in legislative practice in tourism;

- Develop a strategy and tactics for the work of a tourist enterprise, generate database objects of the tourist industry.

 

ACQUIRE PRACTICAL SKILLS:

Contact teaching students the necessary skills and abilities are to master the methods of carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the situation in the tourist market;

 

KEY COMPETENCE:

General competence:

- Have a basic knowledge in the field of social and economic disciplines, contributing to the formation of a highly educated person with a broad outlook and culture of thinking;

- Have the skills of handling modern technology, to be able to use information technologies in professional activity;

- Possess a common methodology of professional activities and the development of professional creativity;

- Know the legislation in the field of tourism:

- Know the legal rules governing the legal relationship between the individual and the family, society and the environment;

Professional competence:

- Know the code of professional ethics of tourism professionals, the legal standards governing the relationship of man to man, man to society and society to a person knows how to take them into account in the development of environmental and socio-cultural projects;

- Own standards of business and speaking, processes of the organization effective verbal communication in the field of tourism;

- It is able to develop the strategy and tactics of enterprises and providers of tourist services;

- To own techniques and methods of formation of interpersonal communication;

E. Learning skills or the ability to learn a holistic approach to the analysis of social problems, and skills development plan for the territory, taking into account geographical features of the regions;
