Artistic-publicistic genres

The artistic - publicistic genres differ from other themes, that there are present artistry and publicism. Artistry is a figurative display of the validity, modeling of situation either really having place or thought up events. Publicism is expressed first of all at presence of documentary, in the pathos and tendentiousness of a narration, in an admissibility only of conjecture, but not of fiction.

The concrete, documentary fact in these genres as though departs on a background, conceding a place to impression of the author from the fact, his estimation, and author's idea. Artistic - publicistic genres concern: feature-story, a sketch, essay, and political portrait. It is also possible to consider documentary story in the frameworks of this genre.

The feature-story is a small story about the valid event, man or phenomenon. The journalistic feature-story differs from literary with trustworthiness and direction of the facts. In journalism a feature-story is the most volumetric genre, but in the literature is the smallest.

The feature-stories are divided into:

1. Descriptive:

a) travelling;

b) events.

2. With a plot:

a) portrait;

b) problems.

The descriptive feature-stories differ basically by one linear narration, subordination of chronology of event. The plot by statement of a problem requiring decision, complexity of display of vital collisions.

The narration in a feature-story can be conducted from the first, third or multiple person. The author of a feature-story can be direct participant of event, hero; he can be "off the screen", his narration can be simple "background", where the events develop; the author can be the observer - main "appraiser".

Two kinds of prose are used in a feature-story: communicative - classical and aesthetic. Logicality of a statement and observance of classical language norms are inherent to communicative - classical prose. Such prose is present basically in feature-stories by V. Peskova, I. Golovanova. The aesthetic prose differs by high emotional statement, presence of bright descriptions in the text, that is the prose of feature-stories by À. Àlimzhanova. There are used three kinds of plot in the feature story:

1. Simple plot is appropriate to a natural course of event.

2. Spatial - time plot is when the events can occur in the same place, but in different measurements of time. For example, in a sketch by Àlimzhanova A. "Throne of Rudaki".

3. Associative - when the plot arbitrary varies according to associative moods of the heroes or author. In a feature-story such elements, as a landscape, portrait and other details are also important. There are famous feature-stories by S. Ualihanov "Àblai" - portrait sketch, " Stories about Dzhungarii" - travelling sketches.

The sketch is a genre of a small volume , it differs from a feature-story by absence of the plot. Kinds of sketches:

1. Landscape.

2. Associative - constructed on associations.

3. Portrait is portrait of a man, or district, phenomenon. In a sketch there is no problem. It is mainly range of pictures, associations. The sketches about a nature and animals V. Peskova are known, they are published in every fifth number of the newspaper "The truth of the Komsomol".

Essay - genre, which is written in one breath, there is a high emotional heat, alongside with philosophical thought. Kinds of an essay on subjects:

1. Political.

2. Economic.

3. Literary.

4. Publicistic. etc.

In an essay as a rule there is no plot. It is original free "flow of information". The themes of an essay differ by topical character and urgency. An essay as the genre has appeared in the Middle Ages. For example, well-known essay by Stefanova Tsveiga. The modern essays differ by an acuteness of the problem and rise of the philosophical understanding.

The political portrait - genre, where a psychological portrait is displayed basically, actions and image of the real persons. The political portrait differs from other genres, that there are should be submitted publicism and artistic. A task of the journalist in writing this genre - to guess for the image the real person and to give his true psychological characteristic, to predict possible actions of this person in the future, to predict the public importance and role of this person in public development.

Artistic-publicistic genres are sent in background today, conceding the place to information and analytical genres, because the last have the large efficiency and the information has found unknown before urgency today. Such volumetric genre, as a feature-story absolutely has disappeared from the pages of press.
