Rafael Ė about me

I spent my childhood in a small town in Fiuggi, Italy. I lived in a large house with my parents, my grandparents and my brothers. I had lots of free time before I started school and my favourite thing to do was hear stories. My grandmother read stories to me as soon as I got up in the mornings Ė usually ghost stories or adventure stories. I remember when she finished a story, I always said, ĎDonít stop! Read me another one!í

Two months ago, just before my thirteenth birthday, my dad got a job as a pianist in a famous orchestra and we moved to Rome. Have you ever moved house? At first itís frightening. Now, Iíve found two friends to hang out with and Iíve joined the school photography club. Iíll never forget Fiuggi, but Rome is a cool place to live.

Iíve never travelled outside Italy, but Iím going to! Next month, Iím visiting London! Thirty students and Mr Branca, my history teacher, and Ms Tella, my geography teacher, are going and weíre all very excited. Iím having a big Ďgoing awayí party at the weekend to celebrate. Iíve already emailed invitations to everyone and organised the music but I havenít thought about what refreshments to have yet. Iím sure itís going to be a fantastic party!
