Leading a workcamp

Leadership Skills can be Learned
Our Training Seminars will get you ready to lead a group, specifically to lead an international workcamp in Germany. You will learn how to work with young people, we will talk about group dynamics and self-organization, deal with legal questions, give tips for organizing the camp, discuss your role and self-perception самовосприятие as a group leader.

Leading Makes One Strong
To bring creativity and organization into a group of international young people. To work with them for a good cause. To become strong and take responsibility for others: leading an international ijgd camp is good for everyone that wants to get involved with international youth work and get hands on pedagogical experience.

What do I need to bring?
In order to take part in a Training Seminar for Camp Leaders, you should be between 18 and 30 years old or be close to turning 18. All you need to bring are 5-8 days of time and of course an aspiration for the adventure that is the workcamp.
Extra Points for You
In many programs of study, leading a camp together with the preparation and other accompanying seminars is recognized as a internship стажировка. Through social responsibility and the experience you will get, you will gain valuable extra points for your future career path. The Certificate of Participation in an ijgd Training Seminar is considered proof for the application of a Youth Leader Card (juleica).

Voluntary Year

Voluntary Service offers young people a variety of perspectives for their future life. Within one year our volunteers have the possibility to try, to learn, and to discover their own strengths.

The experiences of the volunteer year may influence the career of many former volunteers. Many of them found new friends also. Not to forget is that is provided with a volunteer is an important contribution to the social climate. In the field of long-term volunteer services ijgd currently offer different programs:

The voluntary year of social service (FSJ), the volunteers are working in social institutions of different kinds.

The focus of the voluntary year of ecological service (FOEJ) is environment and natural and how to protect the natural sources.

The voluntary year in monument preservation and care (FJD) is dedicated to the preservation of the cultural and architectural heritage.

The voluntary year in politics (FJP) young people can gain insight into political processes and test themselves in this field.

Since we are the International Youth Community Services, of course, we also offer voluntary services abroad: the European Volunteer Service (EVS) and the voluntary year of social services - internationally (FSJ-i).

For young people from abroad, we also offer the FSJ in Germany.
