Preface
This package is created to assist the application of a foreign student in order to deal with legal demands for staying and studying at Stoas University of Applied Sciences and Teacher Education in The Netherlands.

Prerequisites
In order to apply for the International Year of Stoas University, you have to take care of the following prerequisites:
1. This university which you have completed or which you are attending must be aimed on Agriculture or on Education. PS: in case your university is not aimed on one of these, you need to produce a report which will be used as your entrance exam (Colloquium doctum);
2. You must have succeeded at least the first three years of your university;
3. You need an International Passport;
4. The management of your Institute has to nominate you for this course. See checklist no. 8: Attestation of Home University
Enrollment
1. Selection:Applicants should send their CV and Motivation letter before 1st of March 2011 by email to Stoas: mail@stoashogeschool.nl The selection will consist of an IELTS-test and an interview. Some universities will be visited by Stoas staff members, or an interview will be organized by Skype.
Enrollment
After being selected by the selection committee, the students have to fulfill the following steps:
a. Send the signed application form + additional documents before June 1st to Stoas University by regular post;
b. Send a copy of your International Passport before June 1st to Stoas University;
c. Transfer 500,-[1] as pre-payment before June 1st to Stoas. After receiving this payment we will start the application of the visa for students in The Netherlands. This payment will be considered a first part of the Tuition Fee. Thereafter the first term of the Tuition Fee will be diminished with this 500. In case the student later on decides not to study at Stoas University, this first 500 will not be reimbursed.
d. After receiving this 500 Stoas starts the application of a visa, and a place in the Dormitory will be reserved for the student.
e. Before August 1st the next 1800 has to be transferred to Stoas University. Next payments will be 1800 before 1st of November 2011 and 1800 before 1st of April 2012
The Tuition Fee for the International Year is:
5.900,-
For an international student, based on a single room in the apartment building (Dormitory). Exclusive 290,- security deposit. (This deposit must be paid after arrival and will be refund at the end of the course, when the room is returned in good order.)
For students with other grants than the Stoas Excellent Knowledge grant, the normal costs will be calculated, including 325,- rent / month for a single room.
