The requirements to the content and technical design of the article

To participate inthe Third International Scientific Conference of students, post-graduates and young scientists of

Odessa National University by I.I.Mechnikov

“Ethnic culture in the globalized world,

Conference if held at the History department of ONU by I.I.Mechnikov on September 18-19, 2014.

The venue – 12 Yelisavetinska str., room 3 “Ethnographical room”.

The publication of the articles as a separate collection of materials is planned before beginning of the conference.

The following outlines of work are suggested:

The history of ethnography as a science

Regional peculiarities of traditional culture

Peculiarities of the development of ethnic culture on the border territories

Tradition and innovation in the cultures of ethnicities

Problems of maintaining ethnic identity

The languages used at the conference are Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, Moldovan, Romanian, English, Polish.

Transfer, accommodation and food are at the participants` expenses. There will be excursions and historical sites tours of Odessa and Odessa museums organised for participants.

To participate in the conference it is necessary to send your application form to Organisation board by e-mail (as an attached file) before September 1, 2014 and the article (the requirement for the lay-out are enclosed), the cost of publication is 20 UAH for 1 page of the text, payment is by money transference (the details will be sent after admission for publication). Application form for participation in the conference

“Ethnic culture in the globalized world”

The requirements to the content and technical design of the article

1. Article`s size – 6-12 pages.

2. The article should be given in electronic form (as an attached file by e-mail).

3. Font – Times New Roman, size 14.

4. Interlinear interval – 1,5; paragraph indent – 1 см.

5. Max symbols number in a line – 70.

6. Scientific article must contain such required elements: the problem statement in general view and its connection with important scientific and practical problems; analysis of the last researches and publications, in which the problem`s solution had been started and on which author bases; the emphasis of new parts of the general problem; article tasks formulation; the main content statement with complete results` justification; conclusions of the research and formulation of further prospects in current studies direction.

7. At the 2^nd line of the article, after the author`s surname and before the article`s title in the left corner the should be put the UDC (in current font).

8. In the beginning of the article there may be given the annotation in Ukrainian (3-4 sentences and key words).

9. In the end of the article there may be given in Russian and English: the author`s name, surname, the article`s title, the annotation and key words (6-10 lines).

10. The bibliography has to be given in the end of the article in the alphabet order under the title: Sources and literature.

11. Citations in the text are to be designed in square brackets; the first figure – place of the citation`s source in the list “Sources and literature”, the second figure – number of the page (e.g.: [12, p. 35]).

The articles must be sent by September 1, 2012.
