INFORMATION LETTER

Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University offers the preparatory programme “RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE”for all those who wish to prepare for the tuition at our University or any other universities of the Russian Federation, to become acquainted with the amazing language and culture, to discover the fascinating history of Russia, the traditions and customs of the Russian people.

The programme meets the RF state standards and provides 600 academic hours for the Russian language which is the required level of Russian proficiency (the first certification level) for the tuition at Russian universities. The programme of pre-University training of foreign students also includes disciplines as required for the selected profile: engineering-technical, natural-science, economic, and humanitarian.

After completion of tuition foreign students take a final exam in the form of a test in the Russian language. They also take tests in disciplines as required for the selected profile. The Certificate of Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University is granted according to the results of final testing.

The Structure of Preparatory Programme

Engineering-technical profile: the Russian language (600 academic hours), mathematics (72 academic hours), physics (72 academic hours), information science (72 academic hours).

Natural-science profile: the Russian language (600 academic hours), mathematics (72 academic hours), physics (72 academic hours), chemistry (72 academic hours).

Economic profile: the Russian language (600 academic hours), mathematics (72 academic hours), social science (72 academic hours), information science (72 academic hours).

Humanitarian profile: the Russian language (600 academic hours), Russian literature (72 academic hours), Russian history (72 academic hours), social science (72 academic hours).

 

Extra Formats of Tuition

It is possible to learn the Russian language in the short-time courses which last 2, 4 and 6 months and in the distance learning courses (120-420 academic hours).

Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University also invites everyone to participate in Russian language schools “Winter in the Urals – 2016” (25 January – 26 February, 2016), “Russian Summer – 2016” (11 July – 12 August, 2016). Apart from the intensive classes in the Russian language, the programme includes exciting excursions to the picturesque places of the Urals, Bashkiria, to the ski resorts – the places of holding the XVIII Winter Deaflympics 2015, international biathlon competitions; rafting on the White River, visiting the ancient Arkaim, the city which is five thousand years old, and the famous Kapova Cave with its paleolithic cave drawings.
