04:45 Wake up

(Sitting in bed hold the koan for 2 min.)

15 min. for putting bedding away and getting prepared for Session 1

05:00 Session 1

05:40 Get ready for Dynamic (max. 10 min.)

06:00 Dynamic in Auditorium

07:15 Session 2

07:55 Breakfast, shower (45 min.) – bells after 40 min.

08:40 Session 3

09:25 Session 4

10:10 Working meditation (45 min) – bells after 40 min.

10:55 Session 5

11:40 Active meditation

12:45 Session 6

13:15 Lunch, shower and rest (1:15 hour) – bells after 1:10 hour

14:30 Session 7

15:15 Session 8

15:55 Get ready for Kundalini (max. 10 min.)

16:15 Kundalini in Auditorium

17:15 Dinner, shower and get ready to leave for E.M. by 18:30

18:40 Evening Meeting

Back in room 15 min. after E.M.

Then Session 9

20 min for walking/running and fruits

Session 10

Session 11 (if not too late)

 

15 min to prepare for sleeping meditation

Sit in bed for 2-3 minutes holding the koan inside and taking it into the sleep

 

(Before turning lights off, make sure at least one helper has a flash light close by in case of need)

ASSISTANT Guidelines AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Check the assistant schedule for your times in the course and when you are facilitating the session alone.

On each shift one assistant has the responsibility for laundry & storeroom runs, and one for the food.

On the appropriate shift one assistant takes charge of work meditation preparation. On set-up day check that sufficient cleaning supplies are ready.

 

Early shift

When waking up the participants at 4:45 a.m. ring bells (3 times) and announce: “Sit up and hold your koan.” Make sure everyone sits up. Wait a few moments, then announce: “You have 15 minutes to put away your bedding, brush your teeth, prepare the room and be ready for the first session.” (First day, add: “Do not take a shower now.”)
