1.4.5. GRAMMAR-GLOSS. Read the text only once, then mask it and write a free version of what you have read in the space provided. Focus on Present Perfect Progressive (you can use other tenses as well)

An unmanned spacecraft has landed on an asteroid nearly 200 million miles from Earth. It has been travelling for several years and has finally touched down on the surface of this small space body. This is the first time that any spacecraft has landed on a small body as this one. The spaceship probe has sent close-range pictures showing details on the surface of the asteroid. The camera has now been working for several hours. The quality of the pictures is described as unbelievable. The spacecraft has broadcast live images to Earth and millions of net surfers have been watching them on the internet. Asteroids are materials left over from the formation of the Solar System. They are rocky and metallic objects that orbit the Sun, but they are too small to be considered planets. They have their trajectories and orbits travelling in the deep space and obeying the laws of gravitation. Research of asteroids has been going on actively on for the last decades. Scientists want to know more about the composition of asteroids because asteroids contain material from the very first moments of our solar system. Research of this material is very important for scientists in order to make discoveries about the origin of the solar system and our small planet.
