ROSA RYMBAYEVA - THE PRIDE OF OUR COUNTRY (1)

There is practically no family in Kazakhstan and in many other countries who doesn′t know the Star of Kazakhstan and of the former Soviet Union Rosa Kuanyshevna Rymbayeva. Her legendary “Alia” won people′s hearts by the power and the beauty of her voice, making everybody′s soul vibrate.

In her childhood (she was born on October 28, 1957 in the family of the railway workers) she was brought up as a hardworking girl, who knew the value of success and people′s trust. That is why her mottos are: “Do everything well. Never sing using phonogram betraying spectator′s trust”.

Taking part in her first serious competion of songs devoted to the 30th Anniversary of the Great Patriotic War she was noticed by the main director of the Republic Youth Band “Gulder” Taskyn Okapov who invited her to be the soloist of this band in 1976. This meeting with the man, who gave her the future as a present and who became not only her teacher and husband but the father of her two sons, is the main victory in her life.

Taskyn Okapov was the man of great talent. He explained Rosa how to become a star but he didn′t teach her how to survive in this world without a constant support, with two small children, with problems of health and financial savings. Rosa is a woman of strong will and a great desire to work and make other people happy. After the heavy lost of her husband she went on working on the stage. “That is why my life can be divided into two parts: with him and without him”, says Rosa.

Her life and creative work can′t be called easy. She worked a lot to achieve great success on her creative way. Both of them have been recognized by people as Prima donnas despite their diversity in style, image and manner. They are both great workers with hard but interesting, creative destiny, whose children also devoted themselves to art. Two Rosa′s sons are the pianists and Kristina is a singer.

Whatever she starts to do she does it at a high level and her numerous rewards prove it. The Star given to Rosa has become the eighty-second nominal sign in “Star Square” in Moscow. She was the only representative of Central Asia Republics of the former Soviet Union. Rosa is the first in the competion “The Man of the Year”. She was given Order Parasat for her creative work.
