The aims of the lesson * Educational: To introduce students with new material about conjunctions and types of conjunctions Consolidation of all learnt materials. To enrich student`s knowledge concerning the theme. * Development: To develop understanding, logical thinking & students abilities in speech. To control the student`s speaking without mistakes, help them to make conclusions. ? Upbringing: To teach friendly and to work with group and to help each other, to learn give advice to each other in the different situation and try to remember yours life .
The result of the lesson for the teacher v Pupils can learn their meaning without any mistakes ; v To work with group and to listen each other; v They can discuss their opinion themselves.

1-action. Warming-up (1 minute) Chain Fairytale Everyone has a piece of paper and writes the first sentence or two to start a fairytale (not one that already exists). Example: Once upon a time there was a frog that had no legs. He wanted to get married, but there were no female legless frogs in the land. After one minute the leader will say "SWITCH". At this time the writers have to put down their pens and pass the papers. They cannot finish their sentences. Then, the next writers will continue the story. After about ten minutes you will have as many silly stories to read as you have club members. The leader should warn the writers that they will soon have to wrap-up the story during the last two minutes so that each story has a conclusion. 2-action. Asking home task. . 3-action . Dividing into groups (4 minutes) They divide into three group with numbers. 4-action. Introducing new theme. What are conjunctions? A conjunction is a part of speech that joins two words, phrases or clauses together. There are three types of conjunctions: Coordinating conjunctions Coordinating conjunctions, also called coordinators, are conjunctions that connect two or more equal items. Examples: ? He plays tennis and soccer ? He works quickly but accurately ? You'd better do your homework, or you'll get a terrible grade. Correlative conjunctions Correlative conjunctions are used in pairs.They work in pairs to coordinate two items. Examples of correlative conjunctions include both...and..., either...or, not only... but also... Examples: ? I didn't know that she can neither read nor write. ? You can either walk to school or take the bus. ? Both Sara and James are invited to the party. ? Whether you watch TV or do your homework is your decision. ? Not only are they noisy but they are also lazy. Subordinating conjunctions Subordinating conjunctions, also called subordinators, are conjunctions that join a dependent (or subordinating) clause to an independent (or main) clause. Examples: ? He reads the newspapers after he finishes work. ? Even if you get the best grade in the writing test, you'll need to pass an oral test. ? Although he is very old, he goes jogging every morning. ? She didn't go to school because she was ill. ? They went to bed since it was late ? As soon as the teacher had arrived, they started work. 5-action. Exercises with worksheets. Crossword. To fill the white squares with letters, forming words or phrases, by solving clues which lead to the answers. 8-action. Test. To check their understanding new theme.   9-action. Evaluation and assignment. Giving the home task . 1-task. Pete and Jenny use the Internet in order to find their dream holiday. First they surf the net and choose an interesting destination. Then they buy their tickets, but they don't need money because they are going to pay by credit card. However there is one problem. Although Peter wants to lie in the sun, Jenny wants to go skiing! So, where is it going to be, Hawaii or Switzerland? This year they are going to go to Switzerland, next year to Hawaii. 2-task. A few months ago, Cathy decided to try to improve her health.First she started walking to school every day. After that,she started swimming in the evenings. As soon as the holidays began,she joined a health club. Finally, she started eating healthy foodinstead of sweets and chocolate. As a result, she is fitter, has got moreenergy and is more relaxed.
