1: INTRODUCTION

This guide is based on the manual prepared for the Department of International Politics at the University of Wales (Aberystwyth), and is designed to assist both students and supervisors who participate in the Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and European Studies programme. It is important to emphasise that it is a guide only, and that individual style should not be sacrificed. Programme regulations are intended to help, and to reduce potential wastage of time and effort. However, the instructions put forth in this guide should not replace direct consultation between students and their supervisors.

The purpose of this manual is to establish the formal requirements and procedures for preparing and writing the undergraduate thesis, and to provide further relevant information and advice. All administrative matters relating to the thesis are the responsibility of the Programme Director Christopher Łazarski, Ph.D., who may be contacted with queries about the thesis at: k.lazarski@lazarski.edu.pl.
