Excursion to The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew are not just for the old folks!
UNESCO World Heritage glasshouses give you a taste of the tropics, the trees are for
climbing (a few, at least) for a bird’s eye view of the gardens and King George III adds
a hint of history…or you could just relax in the shade of an exotic tree!

p.m. Excursion to Windsor (public transport):
Travel up-river to the historic, royal town of Windsor. Visit Windsor Castle and see
Queen Elizabeth’s second home including the State Apartments, the Doll’s House and
St. George’s Chapel.
Make the short journey to Hampton Court Palace – Britain’s most impressive Tudor
Palace and once home to King Henry VIII. Wander around the different and interesting
palace rooms, halls, chapels and kitchens. Watch costumed actors recreate moments of history and try to spot a famous ghost or two, then stroll in the extensive gardens and get lost in the maze.
Thursday 11.07-a.m. English language lessons
p.m. Excursion to Greenwich park- a former hunting park in Greenwich and one of the
largest single green spaces in south east London. Part of Greenwich World Heritage
Site, host to the Prime Meridian Line and the old Royal Observatory, and near the
National Maritime Museum.
Friday 12.07- a.m. English language lessons and presentation of certificates.
p.m. Visit to the cinema followed by shopping in Kingston

Saturday 13.07- Full day excursion to Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick (coach):
Travel through Berkshire and Oxfordshire to the Midlands of England.
Visit Stratford-on-Avon, William Shakespeare’s birthplace, as well as the place where he retired to. See beautiful Tudor building and soak up the dramatic atmosphere of the Bard’s home town.
Just up the road from Stratford is Warwick Castle. This fantastic attraction is now managed by the same people who do Madame Tussaud’s, so it’s got something for everyone! Displays and exhibitions are arranged within the Castle and there’s always a programme of daily events throughout the summer…history re-invented!
Sunday 14.07- Full day excursion to London.

Visit the Tower of London. This amazing fortress originally built by
William the Conqueror is full of history…as well as being home to the British Crown
Jewels.
Start your afternoon at Sir Christopher Wren’s centrepiece for the City of London –
St. Paul’s Cathedral. Spend some time admiring this famous building then find out more
about the history of the city at the Museum of London.
