Daily Visitor Itinerary

History of the company

“SunThai Tours” was established in 2005 by a Russian businessman Michael Shevchenko, who owns a few tour companies in Thailand. After a good bargain with Maxim Pavlenko, a sales manager in the past, Michael successfully sold “SunThai Tours”to Maxim. Nowadays, there are three owners of the company: Maxim Pavlenko, Lidiia Sokolovska, and Maria Ryzhova. After the change of the owner, “SunThai” has changed some policies, created a larger range of trips, however, one thing has remained unchanged: it is still adventures oriented. Over the years “Sun Thai “ has been doing very well on the market place. “SunThai Tours “achieved Tripadvisor’s “excellent” mark, loyal customers, and good reputation among the competitors.

Members’ roles

Maxim Pavlenko – owner, general manager; in charge of cost setting, transportation, safety, and suppliers

Maria Ryzhova – owner, tour planning manager

Lidiia Sokolovska – owner, sales and marketing manager

Our vision

To provide guests with an active, saturated, adventurous experience in Thailand and to understand what kind of adventure suits each guest the best.

Our mission

“SunThai Tours” offers tourists different tour packages to explore and experience adventures, which are unique to Thailand.

Core goals

• To ensure that each and every guest gets the most from trips they choose to do and their experience is described as “full of activities that leave unforgettable memories”

• Safety MUST take place

• Convenience and transportation are important aspects when conducting a trip

Uniqueness

“SunThai Tours” offers packages that include trips from island to island in an interactive way while many other companies only offer a trip to one place. Also, SunThai gives away signature bandanas in the beginning of the tour (two reasons: 1. a small gift for each guest, and 2. Makes it easier to keep track who’s in the group, so nobody’s lost).

Other services

• Canoe package (a one-night stay at Amara Resort Hua Hin, $20 dinner voucher, a ride on canoes in Hua Hin)

• Celebration package (a one-night stay at Amara Resort Hua Hin; a cake and champagne, and a $50 credit voucher for Black Mountain Waterpark in Hua Hin)

• Couples package (a two-night stay at Amara Resort Hua Hin; champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries, and a ride across the city on elephants for two)

Target market

The tour is created for adventure travellers, who are seeking for an opportunity to step outside their comfort zone. Adventure, by the definition, involves an element of risk. Adventure travelers are early adopters: they are more likely to go to a

new destination or try new products before most people. This type of tourists is interested in different physical activities, cultural exchange or interaction, and engagement with nature. Adventure travellers stay for 7 to 8 days on average at a destination.
Adventure travellers can be both single and married, males and females. The majority is between 35-47 years old. However, for this tour, anyone whose age is 18 or higher can be a part of the tour.

Adventure travellers also have an average or high level of income. They usually spend more than tourists of another type of tourism. Adventure travellers are also often well-educated (most of them carry a college or university diploma or certificate).
People from any part of the world can be classified as adventure tourists, however people from North and South America are more likely to do hard adventure tours, while people from Europe and Asia prefer soft adventure (our company is more oriented on soft adventures like kayaking, riding elephants, caving, zip lining, snorkelling and scuba diving). Soft adventure tourism takes 34% out of all types of tourism.

The needs of adventure travel market are safety, proper accommodation and food. The wants are looking for adrenalin, exploring new territories, doing extreme sports activities and experiencing the power and glory of untouched nature.
