Nowadays, E-commerce is one of the fastest developing types of business in my country. More and more people in Uzbekistan are getting used to buy things online. This new trend has been taking force and the demand for good products and delivery services has increased in Uzbekistan.
Today, as in many countries of the globe, in my country car production is one of the most developed industries. However, selling car and car parts through the Internet has not been explored, which leaves room for my online retail company AVTOMAG to be equally welcomed.
As a Marketing Manager, I am going to present an e-commerce strategy for my retail start-up.

Company background
AVTOMAG.uz is an online retail start-up which offers customers to obtain high quality car parts for a range of car models, in any part of the country. While its main product is car and truck parts, AVTOMAG.uz also offers a variety of car accessories and equipment. Our inventory is stored in our warehouses across the city and ready to ship right to the customers garage at any time. The advantage of our retail store is that we can offer the cheapest price for all of our parts because, we perform the business online and transport directly from warehouses which means there is neither office nor personnel expenses.
STRUCTURE OF THE WEBSITE
Homepage
When customers visit our website at WWW.AVTOMAG.UZ the first thing they see is our attractive, yet simple homepage. On the top left-hand corner of the page there is our company logo with large fonts. On the very top there is Call Us toll-free phone number that operates 24/7, and Chat Online box. On the top right-hand corner there are links to My account, Track shipment, and Feedback. Below that there is a Search box and Shopping basket. Customers can go through Select your vehicle and find needed parts by selecting the year, make, model, and engine of their vehicle. In addition, customers can find parts by category and there is Top Selling Categories in our homepage. In the middle there is a photo of car and truck parts with a company motto: Great parts with cheapest prices.
Hyperlinks
We used Hyperlinks effectively in order to make our website simple and easy to use. For example, when our website users click Exterior parts link, there is a new tab opened with information about external car parts. There are also hyperlinks for Interior parts, Headlights and lighting, Accessories, and others. In the bottom of our homepage there are hyperlinks for Customer Service Contact, Help centre, Security and Privacy policy, and About Us.
Shopping basket and Payment methods
Once the customer picks the needed parts they can click a link Add to shopping basket right below the picture of every part, and at the end of selecting parts, go to Shopping basket and choose the items they would like to purchase.
In order to make shopping easier, AVTOMAG.uz offers a range of payment methods. We accept payment via Paynet which is the most popular way of payment in Uzbekistan. We also accept all types of credit card, and money through bank transfer. Finally, there is a new way of payment Click via SMS. Customers may pay for products through their Plastic Card using this method of payment.
Company logo

A special attention is paid in finding proper logo for the company. It must be short, easy to remember, and understandable by meaning for local people. The word AVTOMAG is a combination of the first parts of two words in local language avtomobil and magazin which means car and shop in English. The graphic image of a car above the logo and using an image of a wheel instead of the letter O say that our company is all about car parts (see picture 1).
Web navigation
In our website there are different styles of web navigations available in order to make it easy for the users to find information directly. One of them is Navigation Bar that we used to help users catch the vital information first. Then we used Site map where visitors can access the hierarchical order of all the pages in our website. Finally, there is a set of Dropdown Menus where customers can choose one of the sub-categories in the list.
Search engine
When the user moves the mouse to search box, there will appear a text: Enter keyword or item. Once the user starts entering the first letters of the keyword, our search engine will automatically suggest the rest of the word making it easy and time saving for our clients.
