Young Entrepreneurs (YES) ProjectIn a bid to contribute meaningfully to society, AIESEC Tanzania has decided that, one the focus of its activities will be Entrepreneurship due to the high rates of unemployment and poverty. Entrepreneurship was chosen as a topic because of the critical importance of the creation of new enterprises for social and economic development. Throughout the world, both in developed and developing countries, entrepreneurs are a major source of employment. They create new jobs and wealth for the community. They are an important source of innovation and creativity. It is our sincere hope that this project stimulates greater interest in entrepreneurship, thus building an entrepreneurial culture among the young people of Tanzania, a subject of such vital importance in the development of our country’s economy. We believe that developing entrepreneurial characteristics in young people will increase their possibilities to access more opportunities for self-employment and promote the creation of micro enterprises among new professionals in their field of interest. By offering them access to contacts, international perspectives, best case practices and successful entrepreneurs, we aim to create a strong network of support for a next generation of entrepreneurs in Tanzania. We therefore seek to partner with KCB Tanzania in the YES Project 2009. Please refer to the attached document for more details on the Project concept, description, budget as well as the benefits accorded to the company following participation in the Project. The National Leadership Development Seminar (NLDS) - 12th to 15th February 2009 National Leadership Development Seminar is the largest international conference in AIESEC Tanzania targeting 140 delegates from all over the AIESEC Network.
