Drilling Engineer · Write drilling and work over programs for oil development, gas and water wells. · Write well completion reports. · Monitors daily drilling operations and provides technical and engineering support to drilling operations. · Evaluate new drilling equipment and procedures to reduce cost and increase drilling efficiency. · Initiate studies to solve drilling problems and recommend ideas to enhance drilling performance. · Conduct technical reviews of projects related to either a broad or specific area of expertise and provide expert technical advice. · Investigate and troubleshoot daily drilling related problems, find appropriate solutions and establish new procedures to prevent reoccurrence of problems. · Evaluate new drilling practices, equipment and technologies and make sound conclusions and recommendations to reduce cost and enhance drilling efficiency. · Conduct technical and economic studies as directed by management.
Reservoir Engineer · Assisted in developing plans and proposals across the full life-cycle of oil and gas fields from exploration to abandonment, with the aim of optimizing use of company funds. · Conducted reservoir engineering studies (including analytical and simulation techniques as appropriate) for client's operated and non-operated UK assets in order to provide the technical assessment necessary for management decision making. · Analyzed production performance data and recommended activities in order to improve well performance and assisted in planning remedial well activity as required. · Represented the client at (operated and non-operated) technical meetings, reviews, etc to Government as required. · Documented technical work in a clear, concise and timely manner conforming to requirements and standards. · Formulated field development strategies and proposed these to senior client personnel. · Developed working relationships with partner representatives (for non-operated field interests) to effectively influence field development.
