Culture/Festival Camp-songkhla

Background

Organized with Klonghae Temple in local history recalling festival. This camp was organized now 4th time. This is superb temple with a good abbot who always creates new activities for developing the nearby area. In the temple there are various projects for developing the community such as Health Learning Center, Herb garden, Thai music and Thai dance club and museum.

Working

Helping the villagers to set up festival, be apart of the festival as international volunteers. You can bring your country performance, music instrument to show in the festival. Volunteers are also expect to create a performance in the festival.

LocationKlong Hae Temple, Hat Yai, Songkhla biggest city in the Southern.

Accomodationand foodVolunteers will stay in the temple with no mattress and traditional toilet. Volunteers take turn to cook Thai food, you are expected to bring your ingredients from your hometown for cultural exchange.

ENV/songkhla ZOO Camp-songkhla(NEW)

The biggest zoo in southern located on the Khao Rub Chang hill, Songkhla. This place need volunteer to help in daily task and culture exchange with the staffs.

Working

Volunteers are expected to work in the zoo helping the staffs daily task such feed animals, cleaning and help in water park.

Culture/The Institute Southern Thai Study-Songkhla(NEW)

Background The officers of The Institute Southern Thai Study had high motivation to exchange with international volunteers about culture and language so they asked the international volunteers contribution in their culture seminar activities. The Institute Southern Thai Study is the great museum in the south with fantastic view, located on the hill in Yo island, Songkhla.

Working Volunteer will support in the museum, learning Southern Thai culture and got a training to be a guide for tourist visiting. Cleaning the antiques in the museum.

Education/Creative English camp-trang(NEW)

Background

Give primary Thai students have the big chance to communication with the foreigner. Destroy shyness from them and let them used to foreigner even now not only English is important to be in the world. Education camp is the most wanted from Thai people when thinking of cultural diversity.

Working

Volunteers are expecting to work as English teachers in the primary schools. They can preparing their lesson by themselves but the teacher at the school can give the advice (do not expect this point too much even the teachers are also shy to speak out). This is the first camp of this school

Accommodation and foodVolunteers will stay in the school together in one big room, Thai traditional toilet and bath.
