Xiaomi Mi3 is New Apple iPhone 5S Killer
Xiaomi announced today the new Xiaomi Mi3. The new Xiaomi flagship smartphone runs either on the Tegra 4 or on the Snapdragon 800 8974AB CPU. According to Xiaomi, the Mi3 is the fastest smartphone ever. The Xiaomi 3 is only 8.1mm thin and comes in multiple colors similar to the upcoming iPhone 5C.
Other features of the Xiaomi Mi3 include 5-inch 1080p screen, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB eMMC storage, 3050mAh battery, 13MP Camera with beauty corrector, NFC, 5G Wi-Fi and MIUI Version 5.
Xiaomi has passed Apple in China in the smartphone market. Apple is aimed at hitting back with the iPhone 5C next week.

amsung Galaxy Note 3, LG G2 and Sony Xperia Z1 are coming to the Chinese Smartphone market very soon. All three manufacturers hope to lure the Chinese consumers with their latest flagships. XiaoMi Mi3 has been the blocking stone in the past few years for those foreign manufacturers in China. This time, XiaoMi introduced the Mi3 and hopes to take on the likes of Note 3, G2 and the Z1. Let’s see how XiaoMi Mi3 goes head to head with these Smartphone powerhouses.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has the largest display of 5.7-inch followed by the LG G2 with a 5.2-inch display. The XiaoMi Mi3 and Sony Xperia Z1 are the same with 5-inch display. All four devices have the same display resolution of 1920 x 1080 but the pixel per inch on all four devices not the same. XiaoMi Mi3 and Sony Xperia Z1 have the highest pixel per inch at 441ppi, followed by 424ppi of LG G2 and 386ppi of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
For the processor, XiaoMi Mi3 is powered by the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor. The Snapdragon 800 MSM8974AB in XiaoMi Mi3 is the latest model which is different from Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 of other devices. Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z1 and LG G2 are powered by Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 quad-core processor but clocked up to 2.3GHz, 2.2GHz and 2.26GHz respectively. XiaoMi Mi3 TD-SCDMA variant is powered by 1.8GHz NVIDIA Tegra 4 while the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 HSPA+ variant is powered by 1.9GHz Exynos 5410 octa-core processor.
For the RAM, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 breaks the record as it is the first device with 3GB of RAM and other three devices are the same at 2GB. XiaoMi Mi3 is available in 16GB and 64GB of internal memory options; Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is available in 32GB and 64GB of internal memory options; LG G2 is available with 16GB and 32GB of internal memory options while the Sony Xperia Z1 has only 16GB of internal memory option. XiaoMi Mi3 and LG G2 do not support MicroSD expansion.
The Sony Xperia Z1 has a 20.7-megapixel high resolution camera on the back and the front camera is a 2-megapixel shooter. The main camera of Sony Xperia Z1 features the G-Lens and Exmor RS Technology where Sony says it is the Best of Its Glass. Samsung Galaxy Note 3, LG G2 and XiaoMi have the same 13-megapixel shooter camera at the back. The camera of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 supports 4K recording.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the first device that preloaded with Android 4.3 out of the box. Samsung has done it again as it shows that why it is the leading in the Android software device. Sony Xperia Z1 and LG G2 are preloaded with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. XiaoMi Mi3 runs on MIUI V5 based on Android, but it isn’t an Android operating system. Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z1 and LG G2 are expected to get the Android 4.4 KitKat in the future.
For the measurement, Sony Xperia Z1 measures at 144.4 x 73.9 x 8.5 mm together with 170g of weight; LG G2 measures at 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9mm together with 140g of weight; Samsung Galaxy Note 3 measures at 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm and weights at 168g; the XiaoMi Mi3 measured at 144 x 73.6 x 8.1 mm together with 145g of weight. XiaoMi Mi3 is the thinnest device and the LG G2 is the thickest device. LG G2 is the lightest device and the Sony Xperia Z1 is the heaviest device.
For the wireless connections, all three devices are equipped with A-GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, MicroUSB port and etc. XiaoMi Mi3 is the only device that doesn’t have 4G LTE capabilities. XiaoMi Mi3 has the TD-SCDMA variant that supports network in China.
Last but not least is about the battery aspect. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a 3,200mAh battery followed by 3,050mAh of XiaoMi Mi2 while Sony Xperia Z1 and LG G2 come with a 3,000mAh battery. LG claims that the battery inside LG G2 comes with “Step Technology” that saved more spaces for the device but the device still not the thinnest among all four devices.
