URGENT ISSUES OF THE ORGANIZATION OF MEDICAL AID TO PATIENTS WITH GASTROENTEROLOGICAL PATHOLOGY IN A COMMERCIAL CLINIC

Introduction: The number of patients with gastroenterological pathology that chose treatment in commercial clinics increases, development of economically substantiated algorithm of their examination and treatment is an urgent task for the management of a paid medical institution.

Objective: To improve the quality of medical aid in patients with gastroenterological disorders in a commercial clinic.

Materials and methods: The study included 300 patients aged between 29 to 65 years with various gastroenterological disorders. The study was performed within 1 year. On the admission to the clinic, for each patient there was developed a comprehensive plan for assessment and treatment, corregated subject to the severity of disease and economic component of the therapeutic and diagnostic techniques, allowing to reduce the cost of expenses with the improvement of the quality of medical aid. In the process of the study the loyalty (satisfaction) of the patients to provided medical care including three stages: search study (along with interviewing), survey of patients and the processing and analysis of the information obtained in the process survey were assessed. The method allows to identify the most important needs of patients during medical aid, to assess the level of satisfaction of patients with provided medical care, the degree of fulfillment of individual requests, as well as to identify possible shortcomings in the organization of the process of care and quality control.

Results: Comprehensive analysis of the quality of medical aid rendered to patients with gastroenterological pathologies, examined and treated at the clinic within 1 year. A staged algorithm of the examination and treatment of patients with gastroenterological pathologies was developed and introduced to the practice of the assessment of loyalty of patients.

Conclusions: 1. There was observed the increase of satisfaction of patients with quality of medical aid at the clinic. 2. A high economic feasibility of methodology was revealed.
