ITEM 15. KNOCKDOWN PROCEDURE.

1. If a contestant is knocked down as a result of the opponent’s attack with allowed technical actions, the referee does the following:

¾ The referee stops the match by saying “STOP” to separate the attacker from the knocked down opponent .

¾ The referee begins counting aloud from “ONE!” to “TEN” with a second interval, having turned to the knocked down contestant and performing special gestures with the arm to display the countdown.

¾ If the knocked down contestant stands up while the referee is counting and wishes to continue the match, the referee must count to “EIGHT” so that this sportsman can fully recover. Then the referee must assess whether the sportsman has recovered, and if he has, the referee adds 1 penalty point to the score of the contestant who received the knockdown, and continues the match.

¾ If the knocked down contestant cannot demonstrate his wish to continue the fight at the count “EIGHT”, the referee continues to count to “TEN” and declares that the other contestant is the winner by Knockout.

¾ If the referee has fear for health of the contestant, he has recourse to the medical worker.
