Christmas time!

Christmas time! For most British families, this is the most important festival of the year, birth of Christ with the traditional celebrations in winter. On the Sunday before Christmas many churches hold a carol service where special hymns are sung. British families decorate their houses with brightly - colored paper or holly, and they usually have a Christmas tree in the corner of the front room, glittering with colored lights and decorations. Family members wrap up their gifts and leave them at the bottom of the Christmas tree to be found on Christmas morning.

Shkarivka`s Village Day

I`m going to talk about an important festival in my village. People celebrate it every year on 19th of August, in the centre of our village and it lasts one day. It is the most popular event because people celebrate the end of the harvest season. Before the festival people prepare concert, contests and delicious food. During the event visitors can enjoy the concert and music. Everyone has a great time and remember the joy whole year.
