Janma karma ca me divyam

After finishing their mock fighting, both the devotee and the Lord are again associated in the spiritual planets. That is very explicitly explained here. The conclusion is that no one falls from the spiritual world, or Vaikuntha planet, for it is the eternal abode. But sometimes, as the Lord desires, devotees come into this material world as preachers or as atheists. In each case we must understand that there is a plan of the Lord.

SB 7.1.35 Purport:

From authoritative sources it can be discerned that associates of Lord Visnu who descend from Vaikuntha do not actually fall. They come with the purpose of fulfilling the desire of the Lord, and their descent to this material world is comparable to that of the Lord. The Lord comes to this material world through the agency of His internal potency, and similarly, when a devotee or associate of the Lord descends to this material world, he does so through the action of the spiritual energy. Any pastime conducted by the Supreme Personality of Godhead is an arrangement by yogamaya, not mahamaya. Therefore it is to be understood that when Jaya and Vijaya descended to this material world, they came because there was something to be done for the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Otherwise it is a fact that no one falls from Vaikuntha.

Srimad-Bhagavatam 2.9.2 -- Melbourne, April 5, 1972

The fighting spirit is there in Krsna also. So when He wants to fight, in the Vaikuntha there is no possibility of fight. Nobody will be able to fight. Nobody will agree to fight. So there is no fighting. Fighting means must be inimical propensity. Unless you think "I am your enemy," and I think "you are my enemy," the fighting is not going on. If I think, "I am fighting with my friend," it will be false fighting. Fighting must be between two strong enemies. Therefore sometimes Jaya Vijaya come. The question is that why the living entity falls down? It is not falls down. Just like Jaya Vijaya came just to satisfy his master. His master desired fighting, so some of His servant went to the material world and became great enemy like Hiranyakasipu. Ravana. For killing Ravana, Rama is coming. Well, Ravana could not be killed without Rama. If Rama desired, millions of Ravanas could be killed in one second. And why He is coming to, personally to fight with him? Just to satisfy a pleasure pastime, that "I shall fight." That is variety.

Çrémad-Bhägavatam 7.9.4 -- Mayapur, February 11, 1976

So Prahläda Mahäräja he is nitya-siddha. Nitya-siddha means there are living entities, every living entity is part and parcel of Kåñëa, so one who does not fall down, he is called nitya-siddha. One who does not fall down. Just like in this material world there are millions and millions of living entities, but they have fallen down. But there are multi-millions and millions of living entities in the vaikuëöha-loka, they never fall down. They are called nitya-siddha.

Morning Walk -- June 21, 1976, Toronto

Indian man (1): Prabhupada, a devotee, very often after chanting why they develop very, very high. I see a lot of devotees, they falls down back to the maya. What is the reason?

Prabhupada: He is not devotee. He's pretending to be devotee. One who is devotee never falls down. There are so many false devotees. He falls down.

Bhagavad-gita 9.11 -- Calcutta, June 30, 1973

So a devotee, if you become a devotee, you'll never fall down. Krsna will give you protection. Krsna says, kaunteya pratijanihi na me bhaktah pranasyati [Bg. 9.31]. He will give you protection. Otherwise you are helpless. You can fall down at any moment. But if you take shelter of Krsna... So there are so many facilities for perfection of life.

Raghunatha on Visnujana:

One time he did a puppet show about a story that he had heard how Narada Muni had once fallen down. When Prabhupada heard of it, he was extremely displeased and said it was maya. Visnujana was remorseful when he told the story. He said, "Prabhupada was not pleased. He told me, ‘You should know that the spiritual master never falls down.'"

SB 3.25.29 Purport:

Sometimes it is asked how the living entity falls down from the spiritual world to the material world. Here is the answer. Unless one is elevated to the Vaikuntha planets, directly in touch with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, he is prone to fall down, either from the impersonal Brahman realization or from an ecstatic trance of meditation.

SB 7.7.54 Purport:

As Krsna never falls, when we revive our spiritual consciousness, Krsna consciousness, we never fall again to material existence. One should understand the position of the supreme Acyuta, Krsna, who says in Bhagavad-gita (4.9):

janma karma ca me divyam
