L Focuses on the way a manager should personally manage to motivate employees.

l Mary Parker Follett: an influential leader in early managerial theory.

n Suggested workers help in analyzing their jobs for improvements.

n The worker knows the best way to improve the job.

n If workers have the knowledge of the task, then they should control the task.

It is believed that the origin of this trend put one of the founders of the behavioral school of Elton Mayo, who came to a sensational discovery while investigating the dependence of productivity on the level of illumination of the workplace.

E. Mayo increased level of illumination of the workplace and noted significant increase in productivity. Then the experimenter for scientific purposes has reduced the level of illumination, but the performance increased again. After numerous studies concluded that labor productivity is growing because of the level of illumination (changing performance directly from the light level can be taken relatively little), but because of the fact that the performers simply show attention (because nothing like they did not exist). Apparently, due to the same circumstances, labor productivity in the control groups varied in the same way, although the light level was not varied.

Human harder to learn than the machine, so in this respect are so many blind spots. Behavioral School is empirical rather than theoretical. However, the presence of enormous practical management information base gives you the opportunity to use the knowledge gained from a certain impact.

One way or another, the theory of management, serving the further development of the industry, has become based on the study of psychophysiological human capabilities and has been developed to a level that meets the requirements of production.

The first major achievement of the behavioral school was proof of the fact that labor productivity artist influenced not only, and sometimes not so much the material factors, many psychological and social kind.

At its core operations research - is the application of scientific research methods to operational problems of the organization; 2. When a group of specialists of the problem is developing a model to study the situation. After a predetermined quantitative characteristics (values) that allows you to objectively compare and to describe each variable and the relationship between them; 3. A key feature of management science is to substitute verbal reasoning patterns, symbols and quantitative values.

Computer operations allowed the researchers to construct models of increasing complexity. This model found in management: resource allocation, inventory management, mass service, the choice of strategy development, etc..
