M for storage and its short brief description.

Maintenance during storage. During the operation, during temporary interruptions in flights over 15 days, the aircraft is put into storage. There are two types of work performed by the storage period:

- Up to one month (from 16 to 35 +5days);

- Up to three months (from 36 to 90 +5 days).

The aircraft must be stored (regardless of the storage period) with or without a full set of blanks and covers.

The aircraft must be grounded, with full-capacity tanks, fuel, oil and hydraulic systems.

Storage Location of aircraft (parking) should be cleaned of mud, snow and ice.

Parked near the aircraft, the stored permanently should be serviceable carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, the type and quantity are determined by the applicable provisions and regulations.

Snow and ice must be removed from the covers and aircraft surfaces immediately after the cessation of snow and ice.

During the entire period of storage of aircraft (regardless of storage time) every 5 days, it necessary to check the serviceability of cases and state shrouding, complete plugging, the reliability of grounding aircraft, charging racks and rails.

The aircraft must be delivered under protection.

23. What is the repair of the AI? When it performed?

Repair- is a set of operations of restoration production efficiency of the functional systems of aircraft or parts of products. All complex of operations on the maintenance and LA P can be divided into two groups:

- Scheduled maintenance work, mainly related to the prevention of failures and damages;

- Works to detect and remove already occurring failures and damage.

Repair of aircraft, as ÏÒÎ take place after certain intervals, as measured by the number of total flying time, number of landings or calendar time.

24. What is the difference between periodic M and operational M?

Line maintenance consists of service jobs not related to the serviceability of the aircraft, and united in the form of maintenance works to maintain and restore serviceability of the aircraft.

Periodical maintenance is performed within the scheduled maintenance time limits depending on aircraft flying hours, number of landings or calendar time. It ensures the maintenance of the aircraft in good condition in a constant process of elaboration of overhaul resource.

25. Parameter by which operation of AC assigned periodic forms of maintenance?

Each form of periodic maintenance is formed from a basic form of maintenance, performed every 300 ± 30 hours of used glider, 250 ± 25 flights, 6 ± 1 months of operation and additional works, which is determined by the need to perform airframe operating time in hours, flights, calendar time, respectively, after 600 , 900, 1200, etc., flying hours, 500.750, 1000, and so on flights, 6, 12, 18, etc. months.

26. Why is there a need of locking (fixation) of fastener elements of parts and AC assemblies?

27. Types of locking devices of detachable connections.

Locking tight.

Cap locking used in compounds, which are relatively rare conditions are subject to disassembly and adjustment. Dismantling of these compounds is associated with the destruction of parts, or with their plastic deformation. Ideas for locking tightly soldering or welding are bolt heads to the details, the nuts to the bolts, upset bolts, caulking stippling and bolts, screws. In the aircraft and engine-building of these methods are mainly used locking with stippling, cutting and embossing.

29. Locking by increasing friction in the thread and bearing surfaces of the nuts and bolts.

30. Locking with self-locking nuts.

31. Locking by special locks.
