During operations performed in deep areas, as well as in subdiaphragmatic areas, small pelvis, poor illumination as a result of prevention light by a surgeon and tools used by him and as a result of casting of shadow to the operation area complicates the operation from technical point of view. As a result it becomes difficult to differentiate anatomic structures in the depth of the operated zone, and ensure of hemostasis, which leads to the risk of iatrogenic lesion and extends the duration of operation. To improve illumination of the depth of operation zone, we offer a special lamp.

Model is based on a lamp with flexible legs. The lamp is installed on a cylindrical type metal corpus with built in battery. The metal corpus is installed on the mirrors extending the operation zone by means of a fixator. Due to flexible legs of the lamp, it is possible to turn the lamp in any direction and properly illuminate a deep operation zone, to improve visibility

The lamp is chemically sterilized with steam of 50% formalin solution. Such sterilization method does not deteriorate the quality of batteries. Batteries with expired term of use are replaced by opening a thread cap at the end of metal corpus. Another advantage of the lamp is that it can be used as an intraoperative transillumination tool.

The lamp was successfully used in 35 technically difficult abdominal surgical operations, no problem occurred in connection with the deterioration of visibility.

Thus, a special lamp offered by us allowed to ensure more effective illumination of the operation zone.
