V. Biography

Andrew Huisjen was born in Lansing, MI in the United States, on July 20, 1983. He will graduate from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with a Mechanical concentration.

His employment experience includes serving as a Technical Intern at Ball Aerospace in Boulder, CO. He worked in the structures and mechanisms department where he worked on a weather satellite project and the tail end of the Deep Impact comet exploration project, which is scheduled to be launched on December 30, 2004.

Aside from this aerospace industry experience, Huisjen has always had a substantial interest in automobiles. This interest tied in with his studies of Control Systems as a Senior at Calvin College to create the idea for this paper. Huisjen also hopes to one day obtain a Master of Science degree and possibly even a PhD. in Mechanical Engineering at a yet to be determined Big Ten University where he will concentrate on either Aerospace, Automotive, or Thermodynamics.
