Stakeholders – Employee

Another main stakeholder of Samsung are their employees , which has one of the main parts in business, you may think that employees are people who are working in the Samsung’s shops and they’re not very important now, because nowadays many Samsung’s products are being sold online. But Samsung’s employee could be a maintainer on the company’s website and keep the website run or even the people who are giving out flyers on the street. Every each of them has a role in Samsung, that’s why it called “global business”, that’s many and many of people around the world who has a small role in a massive business, but as I said before, even a tiny job is important. Employee has a direct link with one of the company’s aim: “to provide a job opportunity for people”(source: http://www.samsung.com – Samsung Electronics.) . This aim is not only benefitting to people, it also a huge benefit for a company, Samsung may provide a job vacancies in poor world regions and to pay less to their workers there, than to a workers in a more developed countries. So, Samsung is spending less and gaining more. Yes, you may call it cheap labour, but it’s not, because those money that workers are gaining, is a huge amount of money at that country. Another benefit to people is that, that Samsung Electronics giving out an opportunity for people to work there and gain 50 pence per hour, therefore for the whole working week of 72 hours (they work 12 hours a day, including Saturday), they will gain 42 pound per the whole week. 42 pounds is definitely not enough for rich and expensive countries like UK, but it’s more than enough for poor countries. From this, you can clearly see that “cheap labour” is beneficial for both sides. But Samsung is not only using a cheap labour, there’s a he amount of people who work in developed in countries, but comparing to Asian and African countries, it is just a tiny bit. The graph below shows the amount of Samsung STAFF and amount of revenue in different parts of the world:
