Overview to afghan domestic marbles product by provinces percentage

The list of province having marble industry is following mentioned, but the details of these provinces are available in chapter# 3.

Kabul province: Karizmeer Marbles, Ghazak Marbles, Qalamkar Marbles, Kabul Grey, Pul-E-Charkey, Hazarabaghal

Wardak province :Wardak Gray, Wardake White, Maydan Marbles

Logger Provence: Awbazake Marbles, Mohammad Agha, Denow and the Awbazake Marbles is Biolistic and Brown in colure, Muhammad Agha Marbles is Black in color.

Helmand province: Helmand Brown Onyx, Helmand Green Onyx.

Nengrahare province: Afghan White these Marbles color is White colure

Samangan province: Samangan Marbles, Mamangan Brown.

Bamyan province: Yakawlang Onyx.

Parwan province: Kafter khana, Qalatak, Salan Marbles.

Khost province: Zurmat Marbles

Herat province: Chest-e-Sharif marbles accurse 120km east of the heart city and consist of a finely crystalline marbles ranging in colorful from pure White to a subtle light Green

Faryab province: Lamer Whit Onyx, Lamar Green Onyx.

Badakshan province: Bini-Kama- Marbles it consist of medium and coarsely Crystalline Marbles the resources is estimated as 1300 million tons.

These are the places in different provinces where the marble product are produced. The marble produced here is different in color, quality, feature, in shape size and act…

And the most significant and high qualitaty product is Onyx Marbles which is high value color which have every color and the afghan Onyx is quarried from several provinces including Helmand ,Bamyan, and Faryab, in almost every color such as Yellow, Green, or Brown , and White which we can easily compare this marbles to Italian marbles. According to AISA survey the Afghanistan has the potential to supply Middle Western and Asian markets with an almost unlimited amount of marbles. It is important to mention that, as of now, not all afghan marble deposited are discovered or surveyed properly. According to survey which was previously done by the AISA and the total estimation is done like marbles deposit is reaching to over 9 billion tones as describe in the following table.

Afghanistan annual marble production is around 124,000 to 15,000 tons. But over half of unprocessed marbles goes to Pakistan and Iran. Total consumption of finished marbles in Afghanistan is around 270,000 tons. Around 80 to 85 percent of afghan market is dominated by Pakistan by Pakistan marbles. currently the total domestic investment in marbles industry in Afghanistan is reach up to Jan ,Feb. ,and march 2013 to 17711000$ and the total value added to the afghan marbles industry is around 105$ million which makes 0,6 percent of GDP according to the ministry of mines Afghanistan marbles boasts more than 100 high quality variety ,spanning diverse colors and patterns current marbles export are estimated at $15 million per year .with improved extraction processing ,infrastructure ,and investment ,the industry could grow to $450 million per year business here in Afghanistan we over 31 active quarrying 72 processing plant and over 100 small –scale handicraft unite and the overall growth rate of the marbles industry in term of production is around 60 percent per annual these is due to the fact that afghan marbles industry has been recently reinvented. But the growth rate of 60 percent is not evenly spread over all marbles firms e.g. a quarry ,s production in heart province in the last 5 year of grew at rate of 100% (doubled every year ) whereas the production of quarry in Kabul in the at least five year only grew at rate of 13% Figure below shows the trend in marbles production since 2008-the date is based on the contracts made between the ministry of mines and the privet companies collected.

This graph is showing the increasing in production line in after 2008 up to 2012 very high it reach to 55%and the increasing in the production of marbles is depend on machinery and equipment and technology which hove effect in the speed of the production and quality too .
