The first secretary of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan Dinmuhammed Kunayev (1964-1986).

November 7, 1964 at the meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan elected Dinmukhamed Akhmedovich Kunaeva first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.
