At the end of the Course participants will be able to:

  2. To develop a Risk and Issue Management Strategy

Operational skills:

  1. Apply these to Delivery and post project outcome – benefits management
  2. To develop project team management skills in R and I
  3. To handle team views on R and I that are not consistent or homogenous

 

 

Curriculum Content (Indicative) for 20 hrs

Module 1: Course Introduction Module 2: Risk Defined Module 3: Issues Defined
Module 4: Benefits Profiles Examined and Applied
Module 6: Stakeholder Management as a risk Module 7: Tools and Techniques Module 8: Risk Management Standards Module 9: Test

 

TEACHING AND LEARNING STRATEGY (INDICATIVE)

A classroom/face to face learning strategy is applied. Key questions will be provided to test understanding of the work. Students will be divided into groups for activities to embed book theory and practice. In the seminar every student will be given the opportunity of making an informal presentation using:

  1. Formal Examination
  2. Participation
  3. Workshop exercises
  4. Discussion
  5. Presentations

 

 

ASSESSMENT STRATEGY (INDICATIVE)

Combination of workshops, presentations participation and assignment using PMBOK® Guide 2012 (PMI, PRINCE2™ and MSP™ as reference points for theory and practice.
