INTRODUCTION

What is management? The free on-line encyclopedia gives us the following definition of management: “all business and organizational activities is the act of coordinating the efforts of people to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively”.

But it is easy just to give a definition and say we know what this term means. All difficulties start when students are “coming into external world” and trying to implement their knowledge.

That’s why my aim in this term paper was to demonstrate the use of effective management in working process, namely:

• How to hire high-qualified and professional team

• How to motivate them

• How to resolve conflicts

• How to hold effective meetings

• How to communicate with employees

• How to manage your time

• How to use Pareto’s principle

• How to delegate responsibilities

Taking into account the above mentioned facts, we decided to conduct research in the sphere of managing your team and managing yourself. This paper attempts to discover the most important theories and approaches behind management, present different types of effective management techniques, discuss their importance and provide some examples. And to do it, I’ve decided to write my term paper in the name of a business consultant.

The findings of our research are presented in this paper.
