To Whom It May Concern

I am a graduate student at the University of Cardiff. I specialize in Slavonic Studies, especially in the post-Soviet history. What I am especially interested in is youth life. I would like to learn more about young people’s participation in elections, etc.

Last summer I was on a brief visit to East Europe. It gave me a chance to meet and talk with many people my age. As far as I can see some of them were not very interested in today’s politics. There are few young people who are elected to government bodies. As for legislature, young people are not many among the MPs. Please tell me about the situation in Belarus. How do they teach social responsibility in your country? Are young people ready to become responsible citizens? In fact, a have a whole range of questions but I think just one is enough for a start. Thank you in advance. Best wishes from Wales.

Ex.4. Write a short description of our country’s political system for a foreign friend who is interested in Belarusian life.
