Project 2

A.S.E.A.C. (Childhood Protection Association and Adolescence of Corrèze)

Topics : education and the rehabilitation of youth in difficulty 1 volunteer / 12 months (starting date: September 2016)

This association has the role of dealing with all the questions relating to the safeguard of childhood and the families, with the education and the rehabilitation of youth in difficulty and by assuming all the activities interesting delinquent childhood, in moral or physical danger, risks situation or maltreated. This association manages several services in 3 distinct poles (investigation, education in family, education except family).

In this project we proposed a discovery of social work and reception of young people in difficulties in France. The Volunteer will take part in daily life in one of the two ASEAC units in load of social and psychological difficulties young people (House of Reception and External Service Young people) but also it will be charged to observe and understand the intervention of the professionals, teachers, psychologists, nurses, frameworks in the exercise of their trade.

Project 3

PROJECT 3:

A.P.S.A.H. (Association for the Welfare of the Blind and Other Disabled)

Topics : Handicap - Education

1 volunteer / 12 months (starting date: October 2016)

It’s an establishment for handicapped adults. The purpose is to facilitate to the blind person, defective visual one and with all handicapped people, the training and the exercise of a profession enabling them to improve by work their material and moral condition.

This establishment has several structures : orientation’s center, professional adaptation’s center, masso-kinesitherapy’ institute training, a hosting household with self service.

Taking into account the diversity of the structures of this establishment, the activities of the volunteer will be adapted to his wishes, his aptitudes, his possibilities and his knowledge.

It will propose to volunteer a discovery of social work, reception and diversified training of the adult handicapped people.

The Volunteer will discover methodology to generate maximum exchanges and to privilege social relations, the education and the professional training for adult handicapped people.

This unit is articulated complements in which the volunteer will take part: cultural activities, activities of formation, sporting and leisure.

The Volunteer will deal with the daily work of the structure in a traditional definition of objectives formula: reception, actions, accompaniment which is articulated with multiple answers adapted to the problems expressed by each resident.

It will be interesting if the volunteer had possibilities to give English course.

Project 4

Medical and Educative Institute – A.L.E.F.P.A. Bertha Roos (A.L.E.F.P.A. : Laic Assocition for Education, Training,Prevention and Autonomy)

Topics : Handicap young children and adolescent - Education 1 volunteer / 12 months (starting date: October 2016)

It’s an establishment for children and teenagers handicapped located in Limoges.

The establishment is composed of three structures: a semi internship school which works 210 days per years with a rate of 5 days per week, a service of reception in internship school located in an apartment near the establishment, while functions 107 days per years, and a service of assistance to residence.

Many activities are proposed: workshop (story tells), activities watery, gymnastics, equestrian, harnessing, etc.

It is proposed a discovery of the line of social work and handicapped young people hosting, boys and girls from 3 to 16 years old.

The place of the volunteer will be adapted to his wishes, his aptitudes, his possibilities and his knowledge. He will be able if wishes to discover within the establishment the operation of the Snoezelen space, which is a sensory testing-ground, a place of user-friendliness, a place of mutual respect, listening, revelation for grow up their potential, a place of knowledge and valorisation.

The Volunteer will deal with the daily work of the structure in a traditional definition of objectives formula : reception, actions, accompaniment which are articulated with multiple answers adapted to the problems of each resident.

The Volunteer will take part in strong times of the collective life, of his convivial aspect but also with constraints related to the structure rhythm of life.

Project 5

A.R.E.H.A. (Association for rehabilitation and education of adults with handicap)

Topics : Handicap - special needs

1 volunteer / 12 months (starting date: October 2016)

The center is made of 4 distinct structures: a specialized home oriented towards adults with a heavy physical and/or mental handicap, 2 hosting centers made of 10 and 5 apartments for adults with a light handicap, and a renovated farm where activities and animations with the residents take place.

The residents are encouraged to participate to diverse activities to help them gain autonomy and self-confidence. Activities vary from cooking, writing, painting to wood craft or sewing…depending on the interest of the resident and the capabilities of the staff. The volunteer will be able to participate to the activities and will be strongly encouraged to develop his own activity depending on his background.

Project 6

Association Domaine de Faugeras

Topics : Handicap - special needs

1 volunteer / 12 months (starting date: October 2016)

The EVS is going to take place within the association FAUGERAS, life home for handicapped adults. the association disposes two units. One of them centers on the socialization and the opening to the neighbor town allowing the residents exchanges and enriching meetings through various activities, notably reception and sports. A discovery of the social work professions for the handicapped persons hosting in France will be proposed. The Volunteer will discover the methodology to generate a maximum of exchanges and to privilege social relationships. This voluntary is articulated by inseparable complements in which the volunteer will participate: participation in the everyday life, exit in the nature, the relaxation, the music, the balneotherapy, the cooking, etc. The volunteer will participate also completely in the activity Canoeing of the association.Project 7
