Witchcraft

Micah 5:12—And I will cut off witchcrafts out of your hand, and you shall have no more soothsayers.

1 Samuel 15:23—Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.

Galatians 5:20-21—The deeds of the flesh are . . . the worship of idols, witchcraft . . . those that practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Acts 19:19—And many of them which used curious arts, brought their books together and burned them before all men.

Revelation 21:8—But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable . . . and sorcerers [magicians, wizards] . . . shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone.

Acts 8:9-13—A certain man named Simon, bewitched the people of Samaria with sorceries [magic], to whom they all gave heed. But when they believed Philip’s preaching . . . the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized [repented and turned away from sorcery].

Speaking to the Dead

Deuteronomy 18:10-11—There shall not be found among you any one that . . . consults familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer [one who conjures up the dead].

Wicked Sacrifices

Psalm 106:36-37—And they served their idols which were a snare unto them. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils.

Idols

Psalm 115:4-8—Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths,

but they do not speak; eyes they have, but they do not see; they have ears, but they do not hear; noses they have, but they do not smell; they have hands, but they do not handle; feet they have, but they do not walk, nor do they mutter through their throat. Those who make them are like them. So is everyone who trusts in them.

Isaiah 2:8, 18—Their land also is full of idols . . . and the idols he [God] shall utterly abolish [destroy].

Deuteronomy 12: 3—Tear down their altars and smash their sacred stone pillars . . . chop down their idols so that they will never again be worshipped.

Judges 2:17—But the Israelites paid no attention to their leaders. Israel was unfaithful to the Lord and worshipped other gods.

Ezekiel 6:13—Then shall you know that I am the Lord, when their slain men shall be among their idols.

1 John 5:21—My children, keep yourselves from idols.

Jeremiah 2:8—My priests did not know me, rulers rebelled against me. The prophets spoke in the name of Baal and worshipped useless idols.
