START OF SUBMISSIONS (START) DATE : 1 APRIL 2016

END OF SUBMISSONS (FINISH) DATE: 1 MAY 2016

All competition materials are to be sent to the following address: cityscarfdesign@gmail.com before May 1, 2016 20:00 (Moscow time).

The email text must specify:
• Name of participant
• The country and city of residence
• The date and year of birth
• Institution (if any)
• Contacts - Phone and email

In the subject line for the nomination must specify for Russian scarf “alaRusse”- «RUS-name" or "summer-name" for the category Summer urban look . - eg…. «RUS-Moore" or «summer-Scott".

For groups you can write only the name of one of the participants in the subject line.

ACCEPTED FILE FORMATS:

-TIFF or JPEG images. The file must be saved in full size with a resolution of 200 dpi.
- PDF file - A3 (need a sketch on a sheet of A3 for printing for the jury)
- Text or explanation required (not more than 1 page) describing the features of the pattern. (Perhaps the author would prefer to specify the form of wearing a scarf or the idea will include transformation or individual packaging.) The text is designed as a separate written file. - *doc

By submitting contest entries, participants agree to all the conditions of participation.

THE COMPETITION RESULTS:

Announcement of the competition results 17 MAY, 2016 in a group VK, Facebook, @cityscarfdesign profile on Instagram as well as in the media. The organizer has the right to use the materials obtained from the participants of the Competition for promotion and publication in the media. THE COMPETITION RESULTS and all submitted designs will be PUBLISHED ONLINE.

JURY DETAILS/ EVALUATION, JUDGING AND SCORING:

1. The jury consists of representatives of Russian art schools, educational profile institutions, fashion designers, heads of faculties and departments and teachers, designers, art historians, as well as members of trade unions of designers and artists.
2. Sketches will be judged by the following criteria:
- Artistic image and idea;
- Following the theme;
- Technological ability to use in production.
3. In each category will be determined only 1 prize.

4. There is no public voting.

AWARDS AND PRIZES/ CERTIFICATES AND TROPHIES:

1. All participants, without exception, receive a diploma (CERTIFICATES) at the language of their choice: English or Russian.
2. Each category is awarded 1 PRIZE. The winning design will get marketing and marketing opportunities, promotion of the design and realization (production) of their sketches in the name of the author. Selected scarves will be included in the new collection of the company "Urban Scarf Atelier " and will be implemented in their production keeping the name of the designer.
3. Competition Organizer has the right to award additional special prizes.

DESIGNERS' and ORGANISERS’ RIGHTS:

Participantis entitled to:

· receive information about the terms and conditions of the Contest;

· refuse to participate in the Contest, written notice to the Organizer by e-mail not later than deadline of the Contest platkicity@gmail.com

Participant agrees:

· in the case of winning to participate in an interview about the participation in the Contest, including radio and television and for other media as well as photo and video shooting, carried out by the Organizer.

· that his name and design can be used by the Organizer for promotional purposes relating to the Contest;

The organizer has the right to:

· cancel the Contest during the first half period by publishing the relevant notification in the media;

· Do not enter into written negotiations or any other contact with the participants of the contest

· organize and carry out promotional interviews with participants about the participation in the Contest, including radio and television, as well as for other media

· promote and publish photos and videos from the participants of the contest, which became the finalists and winners using their manes.

Organizer undertakes:

· to ensure the confidentiality of personal data collected by the organizer for the purposes of the Competition
