Rules of conduct

In the interest of all concerned, orderly conduct in general is expected from everybody.

All summer school participants are expected to adhere to the house rules of the respective accommodation facility.

Severe infringement may lead to expulsion from the course and forfeit of fees paid.

Accommodation Information

All prices indicated relate to the summer school duration: July 4 – July 22, 2016.

Please note that the number of all room types is limited. Therefore, you are required to indicate which of the accommodation facilities and room types is your first and second choice.

Jugend-Freizeit-Zentrum Stendal (“Youth Center”)

Rooms

Dorms with mattresses, showers and toilets are on the corridor. Each guest is required to bring his or her own sleeping bag.

Price

€ 6 per person and night, € 10 for cleaning, no breakfast included.

Facilities

Shared kitchen.

Table tennis, billiard table, darts, table soccer, volleyball, basketball

Location

The Jugend-Freizeit-Zentrum is located in the centre of Stendal. It takes around 10 minutes to walk to the campus and 5 minutes to the city centre.

Location

The guest rooms are located in the vocational training centre in Stendal. It takes around 25 minutes to walk to the campus and the city centre.

Location

The hotel is located next to the train station. It takes around 25 minutes to walk to the campus and 10 minutes to the city centre.

Registration and Payment Information

All applications must be received and completed by April 1, 2016.

All applicants will be notified if they have been accepted via email until April, 15. All participants will also receive information on the transfer data, the respective costs for accommodation and, when applicable, the participation fee for the excursion to Berlin.

The registration fee of 150 € (300 € for non-partner)and the fee of 70 € (150 € for non-partners) for the field trips that are an integral component of the course will have to be transferred in advance.

Cancellation Information

In the case of a participant’s cancellation between April, 1 and May, 15, 2016, the registration fee of

150 € will be retained by Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences.

Please note that the return remittance fees cannot be incurred by Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences.

Cancellations after May 15, 2016 have no entitlement to a refund.

In case there will not be a sufficient number of students enrolled, Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences may cancel the excursion to Berlin or the whole German Summer School 2016. In this case, all fees will be refunded.
