SITUATION 6. Try to solve a technical problem. The problem you have is that you cannot make voice calls.

SITUATION 2. Discuss in a pair why the study of electromagnetic phenomena such as reflection, refraction, polarization, diffraction and absorption is of critical importance in the study of how radio waves move in free space and over the surface of the Earth.

Reflection is the change in direction of a wavefront at an interface between two different media so that the wavefront returns into the medium from which it originated.

Diffraction refers to various phenomena which occur when a wave meets an obstacle or a slit. In classical physics, the diffraction phenomenon is described as the interference of waves according to the Huygens Fresnel principle.

Refraction is the change in direction of propagation of a wave due to a change in its transmission medium.

Polarization (also polarisation) is a property of waves that can oscillate with more than one orientation.

In physics, absorption of electromagnetic radiation is the way in which the energy of a photon is taken up by matter, typically the electrons of an atom.

SITUATION 3. Talk about how you are taught in Information Technologies classes.

I'd like to highlight that first of all our teachers explain to us all the theoretical material. Where we can learn and understand nature of all physical processes. We learn how to work with the different equipment.Than we use our theoretical knowledge on practice. We work with different equipment in labs or modeling schemes on the computer and observe their work. After that practical results we compare with theoretical and make the conclusion about the device performance.

SITUATION 4. Discuss in a pair the disadvantages of the chosen communication system. Suggest a solution to improve it.

- Hi! I haven't seen you for ages.
- Hi! Me too, where have you been? I tried to call you all day!
- I'm so sorry, yesterday i was in village the whole day helping my granny, and there was no connection.
- Oh, I understand. It is a really big problem that mobile communication is horrible in the countryside. In my opinion that problem must be solved for comfortable communication through the country.
- Hm, it's sounds really great, but how?
- My suggestion would be to set more radio towers to provide mobile communication all around Ukraine.
- What is more it would be brilliant to make these towers more powerful to make the communication much better.

SITUATION 5. Try to solve a technical problem. The problem you have is that you cannot send or receive emails.

- Good morning, this is customer service center. My name is YYY, how can I help you?
- Good morning. My name is XXX. I have a problem with me mailbox.
- Can you describe what exactly is wrong with your mail?
- Yes of course, the problem is that i can't send and receive mails.
- Ok. I got it. First of all check whether your Ethernet cable is connected.
- Yes, I have checked it many times.
- Hm, it may be a problem in our servers, please wait a minute, I'll go and see....Oh I'm so sorry, we had a problem on the server, but now everything must be alright. You can check.
- Yeah, now everything works. Thank you very much.
- Welcome. Bye.
- Bye.

- Good morning, this is customer service center. My name is YYY, how can I help you?
- Good morning. My name is XXX. I cannot make voice calls. Can you help me.
- Yes of course. First of all can you check your headset.
- Yes, I have checked it many times. Everything is working.
- Hm, may be telephony application on your PC is locked up?
- Am, Let see... No it is not.
- Ok, may be your volume is turned down?
- I'll check now...Yeah it is the problem, now everithing is alright. Thank you very much.
- Welcome. Bye.
- Bye.
