Echnology Has Replaced Almost Everything

Technology is in everything and everywhere. It's in your house, your school, in stores, and even at the park. It's in your shower, in your sprinklers, in your ceiling fans and of course in your iPods, T.V.'s, computers and laptops and smartphones.

We use some form of technology in almost everything we do, yet we've never noticed.
You cook on a stove, right? Warm up something in the microwave? You have both a cold and a hot water tap. You drive or ride in a car, don't you? Technology is all around us.

Technology has replaced things like books and magazines. It's also replaced CDs, tapes, and records. Heck, it's even replaced tape and glue! Now, everything is done digitally. Even shopping!

All this time we spend online or in front of the T.V. etc., is unhealthy. Things like staying on the computer for long periods of time can rewire your brain, and cause depression.

This is not living. To live is to explore the world around us. To live is to take risks and do something dangerous. To live is to go outside and run around in your sprinklers. To live is to stand outside your lover's window while throwing rocks at it. To live is to go out with friends to actually SHOP. To live is to splurge on little things like dinner at a fancy restaurant.

This is not living. Turn off your device. Go outside.

Online and offline, when it comes to computers, phones and other such devices, you have created the potential for major distraction and danger. Distraction in the sense that one can spend too much time or too much energy trying to better yourself (often against others) through the technology you have. If you're focusing on how to help others, not on how many more gigabytes you can download with a certain machine, you can be a society that prides practical support for each over personal security in any virtual world. Danger in the sense that not everything you can encounter through technology is going to be of use to your well-being and/or, by extension, others. Take any of the porn, alcohol or drug industries. Previously these had a much more limited influence. Now you can access them simply through a click. Community requires effort, and if you want your society to improve itself, it should have to put in an effort to help one another. Using these tools together, and not letting yourselves get sidetracked by their other purposes help you to be independent. You also want to stop society abusing itself because it can. Technological devices can be useful, but from a spiritual perspective, one has to take care of how they are used for everyone to benefit.

Telephones and laptops have become very important around the world. Many people feel bad, naked and lost when their cell phones are taken away. Digital has good and bad aspects. Technology has transformed how politicians and journalists do their business. They can send and receive messages or talk with someone everywhere. However, too much technology can be bad for people. One study shows that 55 % of hight school students spend 9 hours a day using the social network sites and just 1 hour to learn and read. The younger generation is not face to face conversations but facebook to facebook conversations. Technology can also be bad for business. Many people think they can do a lot of things at the same time, it ‘s multitasking. Multitasking can affect the brain and can cause stress.

We are living in a society which is called "technologically civilized" society.Every small work we do is technology dependent. Today every other person is recognized with the device or gadget ,he carries; which is technically advanced. Ultimately , we can say that ,"living without technology is like living without air" in this technical world of today.Therefore, we are much dependent on technology.

Starting with the simple example of food storage. Today the shelf life of the food products is increased with help of modern technology and even preparation time of food is reduced with the help of new machines and equipment. Thus ,making the consumer to have an ease at its consumption and also in saving a lot of productive time. Ultimately, making the person dependent on it for his own benefits. This is unlike to the times of traditional cooking where people had to spare time and even do physical labor compared to the modern technically advanced time of today.

Technology made our lives simple but much dependent on it. We can sit in a corner and get connected to the world. Thus making the world a "global community." Communicate with a person in remote area within fraction of seconds ,make a trip of the world within no time, all these are possible with the advanced technology ,making us more dependent on its usage.

In the health sector,technology advanced to a great extent that today a machine can assist a person in intensive care and monitor him ,which was a tiresome and risky job to do manually before. In a way we are coming closer with the machines developed technically.

Technology is making the multitask functions to be available in a single device. Thus ,we can have multifunctional usage of the single device we own .The more simple ,the work gets with technology,the more we get dependent on it.

Technology makes us lethargic with little or no physical activity, in one aspect; but the same technology provides a inspiration or motivation to do creative jobs including physical activity .Example games like "V" games which are challenging video games and at the same time recreational, helping to spend time in a joyful way.

Today , we don't find even a single young kid without using the available technology to him/her.Technology made us dependent on it and we can't expect or imagine a life without using the word "technology" in it .Hence, technology plays a major role in our lives.

I often forget that androids and smartphones are very much a novel invention. Writing in light of the recent release of the iphone 6, it is hard to imagine that our parents would have been considered lucky to have a fully functioning television just forty years ago. Nowadays, to the increasing detriment of traditional forms of communication, we rely on our phones for everything. Our androids act as calculators, clocks, cameras, calendars and music players, whilst traditional forms such as the letter are fast becoming a thing of the past. Similarly, our once regular trips to the high street are slowly being replaced by the wonders of online shopping, whilst the Kindle, for example, has become a popular alternative to the book. I can’t help but feel a little nostalgic about the latter especially; as a student of English Literature, there is nothing I like more than flicking through a traditional paperback book.

Additionally, I now notice more and more that the smartphone is replacing face-to-face communication. I regularly see groups of people in restaurants, for example, paying more attention to their phones than to each other. I can’t be the only person that thinks there is something inherently worrying about this; are we beginning to choose the company of technology over the company of other human beings?

Technology has many branches and levels, from cell phones to the internet and even for medical purposes. However, cell phones and the internet have taken the main role in changing our society. I find it truly amazing that a person from China is able to talk to a person from the United States, all through the internet. Programs such as facebook make finding an old childhood friend extremely easy, all that is to be done is type in their name. On a smaller scale, technology such as the cell phones helps people with their everyday lives. For example, if I need a fast response or send a quick reminder, I am able to send a text message to the individual I am trying to reach, it is a fast and efficient way to communicate. If I want to stay in touch with a friend from another school or city, I am able to text them or call them. If I need to research a topic for an essay, I would go online and use a search engine to pull up facts on my topic. For some, it is not even necessary to go to a library anymore, most books are online. Also, technology such as the ipod has completely replaced the need for a CD player, and installments such as itunes, makes it not even necessary to go out and buy a CD. These advances in technology are things that we as a society cannot live without.

Older generations fail to grip the importance of these new improvements in communication. Critics say that devices such as facebook and texting take away necessary skills for communicating face to face, and that it gives the individual a “false” sense of reality. However, what these critics do not understand is that their reality is not the same as our reality. We are moving into a new and more technological era. These older generations did not share the same ways as we do. What was normal communication back in the day for our grandparents is not what is normal for our generation. For example, we call and text while they wrote letters. We use the internet for research while they went to the library. For the older generations to judge and set the standards for our new society is extremely unjust because they have not experienced technology like our new generation has. I think that these older generations and critics of technology in general need to grasp the concept that the new generation is breaking the old traditions, and that this is a good thing. Looking back in history, new inventions were made that changed the past society forever. For instance, the light bulb. What would today be like without electricity? Without this genius invention we would be stuck in the same time, never moving forward. Going back to technology, cell phones and the internet, although weak in comparison to the light bulb, share the same idea of moving forward in society. Technology is just one of the many great inventions that have shaped our society throughout history, and without it, we would never move forward.

Without technology in our lives, our world we be a very different place. Not only does technology provide us with a new and improved way to communicate, is gives us new and exciting ways to research and get ideas out to the world faster. People need to understand that society has always been changing throughout history, and that technology is just one of those things that causes a great change. Our advances in technology has and always will be a good thing that will always benefit our world.

Some people say that progress is always a good thing. I think that it is not really true. I n this essay, I will argue against this view. I agree to that progress make our life good, but not ' always'.

The progress in technology sometimes give us negative impact on our life. Since industry revolution happened in Europe, Technological development has ever made our life more and more convenient, at same time, it also impact negatively on the world. Let us take automobile as an example. After automobiles were invented. the transportation has been improved very much, but simultaneously, our environment has been polluted badly with discharging waste gas, and situation becomes worse and worse. Second example is progress in chemical industry and medicine manufacture. These kinds of products provide us plastic products that have improved our routine life, such as plastic kitchen utensils and plastic bag used in supermarket. On the other hand, when these products were produced , a lot of waste material spewed out to atmosphere and into the river. this negative effect is great influence on our earth.

· Technology is good and bad

Yes, technology is slowly taking over our social lives and slowly creeping into our relationships and everyday activities. But technology isn't really the problem. It is the people that use it and how they use it that effects the overall negative and positives of technological advances. We as a race today decide on how we use technology and how much that we let it take over our lives. Without technology there would be more bad than good. Yes, it is stopping many kids from physical activities because they are inside watching TV or playing video games which is leading to an increase in obesity and laziness. But without technology how would we be able to communicate easily, prevent diseases make jobs more doable, and to transport items more easily. Just think!!! Prices would be higher because it would require more people and labor to create the things that we need in life that could have been easily done with technology. We as a whole should create a line where technology ends and face to face social communication begins

· Tech helps all people

Everyone says that technology is killing our social skills kids don't know how to talk to each other and the like but why would people need to talk to each other arrange a meeting if they can just talk through text email and IM. With out technology we would still be cave people no fire no innovation technology isn't the problem its people who hook themselves its people that send important messages over text its not the technology its the people who use it. Just think to yourself what was the first thing that came to mind when you heard that you could send words through the air from New York to California in under a second. That is what technology is cure for cancer, leukemia, and many other diseases, without technology our human race would have died before it even had a chance.

some technological progress will be subject to a disaster to human being. Everybody in the world has known that nuclear weapon that some country has kept can destroy our world many times. Majority of scientist just wanted to provided a new power resource for people's life, it will be a clean, free of pollution and high efficient power source in fact, it indeed is our current useful power power resource. However, huge threat is in front of us, a single disagreement between the super power countries can trigger the disaster. In this case, the negative impact of the progress in nuclear technology will outweigh the advantage of that.

Based on abovementioned, I will be in favor of that progress is not always a good thing, sometimes it will give us negative impact.

Technology is so powerful that it shapes our thinking and our way of life within no time.It is ever evolving. Technology is a tool invented and sharpened by humans to make their life easier.Those who know the correct application of technology, be it any sphere of activity, have managed to make lives easier for themselves and to some extent also for others. I feel the best technological breakthrough was the invention of computers which basically led to further advancement in technology viz the creation of many softwares and hardware. Technology has gifted mankind with various boons but look closely and you will realise that technology have blessed mankind with two very important aspects – facility of communication and creation of time.
Creation of phone, fax, paging services, mobile services, video conferencing etc are few of the facilities that the human mind has been able to conceive with the aid of technology.All have played a very important part in making the world a ‘Global Village’. Technology has ensured that one can easily communicate with anyone on land, in air(aeroplanes) or even when the person is under the calm waves of dark deep-sea (submarines). In this case we are discussing the conflict between the use of technology during school and at home while trying to study. Various people say that the use of technology in school has many distractions. These distractions include social websites like Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook. Yet a number of people forget to realize the many great uses technology can provide for students. The use of technology during school and at home while doing homework can be very helpful, productive and efficient. Technology as a distraction can be talked about and argued but the truth is technology is an everyday occurrence and can be used to benefit students and teachers throughout their educational career.
Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, the use of technology has increased tremendously around the world, but most importantly at school. For example, I know of many schools that have a “smart board” in every classroom. This is a device at the front of the classroom that teachers can control with their laptop or computer. From personal experiences, I can tell you that the use of the smart board has helped me in the way that I take notes. Technology has improved so much today that schools are handing out devices like iPads, laptops or Microsoft Surface tablets. I already know that the laptops at George Walton Academy next year will be a huge help to everyone that uses them. These can be a huge help because, instead of teachers having to fight over the lab and mobile lab, they can just have their students pull out their laptops.
