Methods of measuring of Labor intensity

Labor intensity describes the degree of labor intensity and is determined by the number of physical and mental energy of a man consumed per unit time. Increasing the intensity of labor has its limits, namely, physiological and psychological capabilities of the human body. The normal intensity of labor means a person of life energy expenditure during work time, which can be fully resumed by the next working day when actually available to the man as food, medical care, use of leisure time, etc.

Labor intensity is the amount of labor expended by the employee for a certain period of time to get a useful result.

It is determined by the cost of physical, nervous and mental energy per unit of time, depending on the pace of work and the time of employment.

The pace of work we understand the speed of the labor movement or the frequency of transactions per unit time.

The level of intensity of labor, provided for the norm of labor costs, referred to as "normal." The concept of "normal level of intensity" embeds a double meaning: to achieve a certain goal, and the production of normal physiological norms favorable to workers' health.

The "normal" level of intensity of labor appropriate to call the "normative" (provided for the norm).

On any modern enterprise rules should include not only the maximum possible for the majority of workers employed in this work, but the same degree of intensity of labor on the work of the same type (with the same tariff rate).

Under this condition, when the normalization of different setter will not share the "best" and "disadvantage" in terms of employees.

Therefore, the most important task in the standardization work is to establish standards of equal rigidity.

There are several methods to assess the intensity of labor.

The first method is based on the psycho-physiological studies. It compares the actual cost of energy in kilo-calories to normative (2.5 tys.k / cal per shift).

This is the most accurate method of assessing the intensity of labor, but it is very time consuming, requires the participation of specialists in physiology and special equipment.

Computational method for time employment and the pace of work.

This method, developed by the Institute of Labor, allows to estimate the intensity of labor is not only a profession but also to compare the intensity of labor of workers of different professions.

In this method, the intensity of labor is determined by the formula:

= Lim Kt.r. x Ks

where:

Um - an indicator of the intensity of labor, of a unit;

Kt.r. - Factor of the rate of work of a unit;

Ks - coefficient time employment of a unit.

Rate ratio is the ratio of the actual pace of work for the physiologically optimal embedded in the base system microelement time limits.

Time employment ratio is the ratio of the actual time of employment change to the conditional reference level equal to the percentage change in length.

To determine the rate for a particular job is selected the most important and frequent operation.

LABOR INTENSITY characterizes the time required to manufacture a unit of production

LI=T/Q

▲LI= (▲LP/100+▲LP)*100%
