The Present Indefinite may be used to express future in object clauses after to see (to), to take care, and make sure(certain (ensure)

Exercise 3. Put the verb in brackets into the correct tense.

Make and do

‘As individuals we want to be able to make private arrangements between ourselves,…’

These two verbs often depart from their fundamental meanings of “act” and “construct” in idiomatic usage. Example of fundamental meaning of “do” and “ make”:

“What are you making?” “A cake”

“What are you doing?” “Writing a letter”

Idiomatic use of these two verbs can only be learnt by experience. The following exercise practices a number of “do’and“make” idioms

Rememberthat get can be used as a causative. In a causative, a person does not perform an action directly. Get has less force and authority than make.
