Power supply of escalator

1.1 The general switch of escalator controls its power supply, which is from the power room of building.

The power is only used for escalator, and the fluctuation amplitude of voltage should be within ±7%.

The power supply must have enough capacity and the loss of voltage in the circuit should satisfy certain request.

1.2 The power of lighting and socket outlets should be separated from those of the main circuit of escalator as well as the control circuit.

1.3 There should be good grounding in escalator, and the resistance of insulation at each juncture of cables shouldn’t be smaller than the following values:

◆The resistance of power circuit and electric safety device should be about 0.5M separately.

◆The resistances of other circuits (such as control, lighting and signals) should be about 0.25M .

1.4 The grounding of electric equipment must abide by the following regulations:

◆The exposed conductor parts of all the electric equipment must be connected to neutral conductor

reliably.

◆The connection of the protection wires of electric equipment should accord with the design request of grounding types of power supply system.

1.5 The distance between neutral conductor and power switch should be no more than 50m, if it exceeded this value, set the earth nearby, which should satisfy the request of grounding resistance.
