Sunday, February 2nd Day 4- Upholding Israel and Jewish Spirit

Breakfast

Morning: Visits Tel Dan-bellow the foothills of the Hermon Mountain flows the Dan River, the largest and most important source of the Jordan. The trail passes along streams, the river, and through a shady tangle of trees. Along the river, we will find the remains of the biblical Canaanite city- Dan. Among the special finds, we can see the magnificent Canaanite city gate with perhaps the earliest constructed arch ever discovered the Israelite city and city gate.

Monday, February 3rdDay 5

9:00 am Visit the Ancient City Zippori- located in the lower Galilee the Roman City of Zippori was the capital of the region and home too many Jewish Rabbis and Scholars alongside the pagan Roman residence during the Missnah and Talmudic period. It was hear that Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi completed to compile the Mishnah- the must imported foundation of the Jewish oral law.

Tuesday, February 4th Day 6- Tel Aviv – a Jewish City in Struggle for Normality

9:00am Independence Hallwhere it all began (Confirmed)

Hear the voice of David Ben Gurion as he declares Statehood under the looming threat of attack from an enemy of mammoth proportions. The Dizengoff House, that would eventually become Independence Hall, is the birthplace of Tel Aviv. On this site, sixty-six families gathered on April 11, 1909 to conduct a lottery for plots of land in a new Jewish neighborhood, to be known as AhuzatBayit. Meir and ZinaDizengoff acquired plot number 43, on which they built their home. Meir Dizengoff served as the head of the new neighborhood council. As the neighborhood grew and became a city, Dizengoff became the first mayor of the city of Tel Aviv.

Visit Jaffa, pronounced Yaffo in Hebrew, one of the oldest port cities in the Land of Israel and the Mediterranean. Jaffa was built upon a high cliff at the foot of which lies the port defended by the protruding rocks. Jaffa has been an active port since the 18th century BCE. It has a rich history and culture evolving from the many different leaders who conquered it in the past.
