Part II Motivation and interest in EVS

Recruitment process
How do you select and prepare your volunteers?
We select the volunteers according to their CV (education and background, previous experience, social and civic activities) and motivation in participation in a concrete project. Also we take into consideration their readiness to live in an intercultural surroundings, motivation to learn foreign language, open-mindness and desire to learn from the experience. With the potential volunteers we arrange on-line and, if possible, live interview. Afterwards we send the CV and ML of selected volunteers to our partners which will host the volunteers for the last selection step. With the selected participants we organize preparation meetings which ends up with pre-departure training where we discuss the issues connected with basics of non-formal education, life-long learning, intercultural differences, conflict-resolutions, effective communication and etc. We also assist the participants in preparation all the necessary documents including insurance, visa application and others.
