General impressions about the visit

- Very nice impressions!

- It was a great day!

- It’s OK, we found new friends. We met people who spoke English better than we do.

- It was a very nice idea to invite guests from Stryi. I liked those people, especially girls, who are very intelligent. All of them are good at English.

- Before our guests arrival I was extremely intrigued and curious. Now I can say I’m glad they visited us, everything was OK!

- It was important for me and also for our school. I saw new people. I realized that our school and our town are interesting for visitors and are not the worst in the world.

People from Stryi (teachers and students)

- They are very clever and good at English, better than we are. They are real patriots of Ukraine, because they all speak Ukrainian. Very friendly. We have many common things. They are the same people as we are, only from different region. I like all of them. Teachers and students are kind and friendly, but the teachers are very earnest.

- They are a little bit different than we are. I was impressed by their pure Ukrainian. They are more simple than we are. In general we are the same.

- People from Stryi are friendly, talkative, it was interesting to spend time with them, but they spoke Ukrainian dialect and I didn’t understand some of their words – it was the only problem.

- Students – they study in their school in a very hard way. Teachers – they are pretty nice, with a very good sense of humor.

- They speak perfect Ukrainian, have the same interests.

- They are usual Ukrainian people as we are.

- People from Stryi are nice to speak with, easy going, funny and friendly. They are very good at English.

- We are not the same. Their manners and the language are different to our ones.

- First I thought they were very strange, after speaking with them I realized people from Stryi are good boys and girls. It was OK.

- Pupils from Stryi are very intelligent, they speak English quite well and know Latin. Boys and girls aren’t afraid to speak English, they are very simple people and good friends.

- Students and teachers from Stryi are full of positive energy and merry.

Our first meeting (Bridge)

- It was a good idea that gave us a possibility to make our first impressions about the students. I like the way we sat there, we could see everyone we wanted. It was the first meeting and the best to my mind.

- The idea was great. At the beginning we kept silence but later it was OK.

- I didn’t like it, we were afraid to speak and some adults pressing was felt (they wanted to make students speak). A real bridge was after that, while having our party.

- First we were shy and taciturn but later spoke more and more. To my regret the meeting was over too early.

- I didn’t like it very much, our guests spoke more than we did. They spoke English much better than we did.

Plans for future

- I’d like to see them all again, make interesting projects with them, meet in a summer camp.

- It would be great to visit them in autumn and continue our cooperation.

- I hope we won’t loose our contacts and meet again in November or in summer.

- I’d like to visit our friends, because I’m interested in our friendship. I’d like to know more about their traditions, school, town, etc. It would be interesting to compare.

- Hope to meet friends again and have fun visiting them in Stryi or having language practice.

- After their leaving the end hasn’t come! Hope to meet our friends in Lviv, visit them in Stryi and make some interesting common projects.

- Hope students and teachers from Stryi will come to us again.

- I hope sooner or later we visit our friends in Stryi and spend time there better than they did here.
