Stakeholders – Investors / Shareholders

As I wrote before, investors and a shareholders has a massive influence on any company, especially on a giants like “Samsung”. And Investors has a straightforward link to one of the company’s main objective. “To make profit” – that’s, what is says and to make profit/money, you have to develop a company, but to do it, you also need money, you may think “How can I start a company and invest my money, if I don’t have any and I’m not gaining any profit yet?” And that’s where you will need 3rd side investors, which will invest their into your company, perspective company which could “evolve” into another giant of business. Well, at least that’s what investors think, but you have to achieve these results, otherwise, they may take their money back and even sue you for not achieving their targets.

Samsung’s investors – According to the Samsung’s website, anyone can invest into their company, but, will you gain a lot of profit from an investment of £10? No, you won’t, from only ten pounds, the maximum profit that you may gain is no more than £10.00025, and the reason for it is the stock market and the rates of the Samsung’s shares on it. (source: http://www.londonstockexchange.com/) As you noticed it, it’s not a lot, so, to gain at least double of what you’re invested, approximately would need to invest about £1000000 and that’s why working class people don’t invest into a big companies. So all the investment that company has, was made by their huge business partners or even by the government.

ShareholdersShareholders are all the people that has at least 0.1000% of company’s shares that are available on a stock market2 . It could be a million of the people that technically own the company, but there always will be a main shareholder that own most of a shares in a percentage ratio. It is 13 major shareholders that has most of the shares of the company people that own most of the company’s stock, but they own only 17.65% , the total price of it is about £28769500000 (9th of October), so 1 percent is 1630000000 of pounds and that’s why working class people just can not buy shares of the large companies. (source:http://www.samsung.com/us/aboutsamsung/investor_relations/stock_info/ownership_structure.html - Samsung Electronics website) However, shareholders are not the complete owners, they can only buy and sell their own shares. They can not run the company, they’re just a financial part of this Business Giant! And that’s why CEO exists, a person, who takes all the responsibility for all the company’s decisions that “Board” of the company decides.
