Terms and conditions

1. Registration and payment.A course period is bindingly booked as soon as Steinke-Institut receives the registration form signed by the applicant. The reservation of a place in a course is only valid after the payment of the course fees and the registration fee. The contracted load (course lessons) can only be used by the client after the fees, as agreed in the registration contract, have been paid. By signing the registration contract the client commits himself in paying the total fees agreed. A confirmation of registration can only be issued after the complete fees for the registered course period have been paid. The course fee for each new course or course section has to be paid by no later than on the first day of the agreed course accession. The arrears fee for delayed payments in violation to the contract are 5 ˆ for the first overdue week, 10 ˆ for each additional overdue week. After one week of a course visit, that has not been paid for, the client will be excluded from the course without receiving a course credit in case of later payment. The registration of the agreed course period or even of a part of it is not transferable to another person. 2. Participation. If the client, regardless of which reason, cannot visit the course within the registered course period or cannot be present on the first course day as registered and wants to shift the registration period, he is obliged to inform Steinke-Institut in written form at least 5 days before the agreed course accession. Without this no time credit or change of reservation or repayment is possible. The booked period is binding. The client has no claim to a time credit if he interrupts the course or finishes the course before the end of the agreed period. After an interruption there is no claim to a new course which corresponds to the current level of the client. Clients who are not able to attend an exam have no claim to a free alternative exam date. 3. Withdrawal and repayment. A withdrawal from the registration contract after a binding registration or in case of discontinuation before the agreed course and payment period is not possible. Even if the client stops his course prematurely or if he does not participate at all or if he is prevented from visiting the course (i.e. in case of illness), the complete course fees (also instalments that have not yet been paid for) have to be paid. Only if the client’s visa is denied or not extended and this is not brought on by the client’s own fault, a repayment less 100 ˆ processing fee is possible provided that a written confirmation of the denying German embassy or German foreign authority is sent to Steinke-Institut at least 3 days before the beginning of the booked course period. The repayment exclusively refers to the part of the booked and paid course period that is not covered by the visa any more. A repayment is not possible if the client failed to apply in time for a visa regarding the booked and paid course period. 4. Cancellation of lessons. Steinke-Institut is not liable for lesson cancellations by force majeure. No fee reduction applies if the student is absent (e.g. due to sickness, vacation) during his booked course period. If the teacher is sick, Steinke-Institut is obliged to organize a substitute as soon as possible and to make up for the lost lessons. Lessons that have been cancelled by sickness of teachers are completely compensated by time credit.
